Great to see more time-invested pieces from you! Compositions look great and I think I'm seeing a clear improvement in color variety and subtlety in using them. You have a habit of supplying the warrior paintings with a kind of solemn mood with the way you color them and I like it a lot. For this one the hazy morning mood, depth, simple but striking palette and dramatic composition give a powerful mood. Great palette on the new ChOW piece too, good feel of sunlight on a cold winter day and I also like the balanced composition and the way you've used spikes on different elements.

Dude I dont follow basketball but that video was sick. I went to a college game once in Kansas one and that was exciting as hell.

Some real strong pieces in that new batch. Youre an engine of creation, Iverson would be proud.

Wow, just wow. I have always admired those who can draw a few lines or splashes to suggest movement and detail and have them so clear and so obvious as to their intention, and you certainly can do that! Absolutely love it.

Awesome stuff Sean! Definitely inspiring, and you make it look like a lot of fun. If you finished some of this stuff it would blow everyone's socks off . . . but I know how it goes.

This little page especially blew me away: http://attachments.conceptart.org/fo...1&d=1335936216

    Great stuff, keep it up!

always nice to visit, i love that flag bearer image in post 113 and 108
the top right, its clumped with three other images.
it rocks so much potential in that one, makes my mind brainstorm with possibilities.
    nice to see your evolving.

Looking good here Sean, I really like some of those color compositions.
Don't hesitate to introduce more reflected light into the shadow areas. It can really describe the form beautifully there, especially if you use the correct temperature and intensity of color... (Generally, shadows look relatively cool when the light source is warm; likewise, when the light source is cool, shadows seem warm in comparison. But perhaps you already know this.)

Impressive photo studies on post 130. I like the exaggerated colors and the sense of light. On the black and white thumbnails, nice shapes and I like the fact that they leave some room for imagination. I bet many of them would look great fleshed out though, I especially like the bridge on post 140. Even as such though, I bet sketches like that train the eye for composition, should give them a go myself some time.

Your work space is maybe the most ascetic I've seen in relation to quality of work. Love the old time feel and mortar and pestle though.

    Keep them coming!

Some productive two days! Nice compositions, but I miss more variety in their viewing angles. You seem to have a strong tendency to have a figure or two in the foreground and castle on the background with horizon around the middle of the picture. It works well on many occasions, IMO especially when there's a clear order of importance between the figure(s) and background structure, but still, you could experiment more with birds eye/frog perspective and maybe more perspective based and less silhouette based approaches to composition, if that makes any sense. Think about what statement you want to make with the viewing angle, on this sketch for example, frog perspective could articulate the huge size of the structure.

Thanks for linking that custom shapes thread, it's a treasure! I've never really given thought to that feature before but I already started experimenting with them and it's cool - so efficient and so much control!

Hi Sean, great updates! (as usual ) I just want to say that I really do love your work. Every piece has so much energy and that's what makes them both fun and interesting to look at.

I think what really gets me is your keen sense of composition. Your thumbnails are amazing, as are your enviro drawings and paintings. I see so much potential in your work that it is unbelievable and I can't wait to see where you end up in a few years.

Your enthusiasm for art is quite evident. Keep drawing - your updates are quite inspirational.
