Hey Not_Deadman Thanks Very Much. For your question on Highlights, I guess my suggestion would be to make the highlight, the brightest white, and also make the edges sharp.
For the Structured Skull, I purchased a Skeleton Torso from the Anatomy Tools site. http://anatomytools.com/products/ref...usts/bust-skel
Its actually an excellent product and great for studying.
Ohh yeah, I agree with your critique, the left leg is pretty flat.

    Hey Ixallus Thanks Very Much

These are 45 Mins Each. Trying be more painterly so I did these without line. Man.. need more practice.

Really nice so far. In your studies you have strong and great lines.
Try to implement them in your one stuff. Keep it up!

Hey -D_art-, and Tamaira2011, Thanks very Much.

Man.. This one was tough. I didn't spend too much time on the line drawing in an attempt to be more painterly. Obviously failed with the many proportion mistakes. I was making so many tiny adjustments all in vain. Gonna give up on this for now. Dosn't look very much like Aubrey Plaza imo.

    Need Critiques Please!

    So heres some crap..

1hr Figure from photo. Think I gotta use Vilppu's form on top of form idea to make it more 3d.

Drawing Done at the Met. Blaahh, Not so great due inadequate light in the Museum I think. I also found my sense of proportion needs lots of work. I have too much tunnel vision.

Wow, This ones a break through for Me. Took 1.5 Hrs.
I think im getting the hang of painting without line
    Attachment 1429243
1Hr for this one. Didn't learn much. I was feeling anxious and jittery for some reason. I think its cuz of my protein shake.
Just passively copied the shadow shapes instead of trying to analyze it.
    Attachment 1429245
I recently read the Realism Vs Construction Thread. WOW!! super enlightening!! Im really gonna try to construct all my figures to the max, and learn a lot more anatomy.

Self Portrait 1.5Hrs. First one I did since highschool and first time I painted with my Samsung slate 7.
Life painting really shows how terrible a painter I really am. Looks like a police sketch of Rapist or something. lol

WIP 3Hr Landscape Study. Very tedious getting the tiny shapes right.

Haha, now that I've uploaded this one, I see that the woman's bicep is huge. Or is it the hip? Truthfully I wasn't very mindful while drawing this one. My friend called me and we were having a conversation on socialism.

You're sketchbook is very inspirational. Very good stuff, especially the anatomy studies and the black and white Photoshop renders. I was wondering what you were studying right now. Any books or sights?

Hey RATCUB, thanks for the compliment. I just purchased Bammes' guide to figure drawing the other day. It was just translated into english so german speakers aren't the only ones that can enjoy it. Really great info. Also I've been studying lots of anatomy from Zach Pectrocs anatomy .obj file in zbrush.

Again Albert Dorne Studies from the drapery section of FAC.

    Some more studies,

Warm up painting, 45 Min. Trying to look at the whole, instead of being too mathematical with proportions. Gotta stop the tunnel vision.
    Attachment 1438430
Did Studies of the Teres and Infraspinatus muscles.
    Attachment 1438432
    Attachment 1438433
Finally wip Shishkin study. I tried to be as accurate as possible with proportions during the layin stage. Trying to break my tendency to rush the layin and spend hours on details. Bad habit of mine since a kid.
    Attachment 1438434

Want to Add one more. My Crappy Imagination drawing. Also I've never rendered Drapery b4. Im gonna attempt it but it probably wont come out right. Also, I guess I should practice rendering hair more, as i couldn't make it work here.

hey man, really cool stuff in here, love your tonal work. Would love to see more enviromental studies.
Im also a victim of the 'I should've studied art/drawn more when i was younger' and now it/i sucks, good to see you dont! kudo's, dont stop! cant let the young ones win- damn youths with their loud music and high definition lifestyle
Also diggin the drapery! You checked out the hogarth book on that?
