Doubtful if I have enough time to finish it but damnit, I have to try. This is the start of my character sheet. A sort of puritan-cowboy, he just don't like the values zombies live by.

baconstrap There are two components - one is your character sheet, which displays the actual character design (probably more focused on the cowboy alien, but would probably involve the dinosaur mount). Then there is the illustration, which is supposed to depict the character riding the dinosaur while fighting zombies.

Khalo and Baconstrap: I think in the character sheet, the only thing you need is the alien cowboy. Other than that you need the final piece with all of the elements (zombies, alien and dino). But also don't forget to save a few work in progress pictures.

Here's my character sheet. Guess I need to get starting on the final now. Have no idea what kind of dinosaur to go with my elephant-ish alien sheriff.

First character pass... I'm looking to play up stereotypical little green men as much as I can. I think I'll keep the outfit in that general vein, maybe add a poncho for dramatic flair.

Starting to rough out my illustration. I definitely have not spent enough time drawing non-humanoid things. Dinosaurs are harrrrrd.

Got my basic lines. Need to work on how that duster is falling, and the bowie looks way out of place/scale.

Gonna work on it some more tommorow.

Probably wont have enough time this week but I did a sketch yesterday that I grew fond of. Scanned it, and played around. And yes, the dino would look sorta like an ostrich.

Any crit is welcome as I might try to break my schedual to get it done.

Voodoo Mama I love your rendering, but your composition seems a bit strange to me. All your lines are pointing to the upper left, where we have the gun. But.. It's just the gun, it doesn't give you much to focus on. Also, the zombie that's facing us feels a bit disorienting - I don't entirely understand why he'd be looking at us, as opposed to the healthy, meaty specimen behind him.

Here's my first WIP. Surprised to see only t-rex, raptors, and triceratops. One brontosaurus, which is cool.

    I'm doing a stegosaurus!

Character sheet and getting started on final.

Hey all, it has been a while since the last time I did a Chow piece, here's my character sheet with the alien so far. I see a alot of people using t-rex and triceratops as the mount...I think i might go with something different. I wrangled around a bit over how i would construct the anatomy of the four arms...i probably didn't really nail it down very well. It's probably off in some parts. Perhaps you guys could give some pointers so I can straighten them out for the final.

maybe i'll put him on a pachycephalosaurus or a pterodactyl? we'll see. hopefully I can get this done before sunday. lol

btw, haiasi, love your choice with stegosaurus, that's awesome and I always wondered how a mount would be possible on a such a creature, remove it's plates? lol.

can't wait to see the finals!
