Collective of curiosities or Jokikokko's sketchbook
Hey all! I'm an 18-year-old thing from Finland and I've always drawn. I started to draw and paint more seriously when I was like nine and more seriously than that when I was thirteen. Since then my level of seriousness hasn't changed a lot, I'm still aiming for being a professional one day. I mostly do things out of my imagination yet at times get inspiration from movies, books, real life, what not.
So. In here I'll post some of my WIPs, don't forget to comment and critique! On this post I have uddasa (it's a somewhat common alien race in my never-ending comic project) with a fireball, which actually isn't fire but bioenergy, chi-like mental and physical power people use instead of plain magic in their universe. Technically speaking, the chin in it is way too pointy and the hand has to be somewhat fixed in my opinion (going to work with those later today after some hardcore studying of German!). On the positive side, I somehow like the tree on the background. It's been a while since I've done even slightly more detailed backgrounds!

Curiousities go handy!
Yes, it's a hand. My first hand sucked badly so I did another one and here's the second. I think it isn't finished yet but I just wanted to upload the thing.
// Third attempt.

Roundabout of still life
Thanks a lot for help! I promise you'll see more of them!
You can see the bigger version of the sketch in here. This time I did some basic shapes and stuff I saw around. There's a headphone, my iPhone, the pen holder of the tablet, an eraser, a lamp, a comb... As if they weren't recognizable. The pen holder was somewhat creepy in the beginning as it was somewhat difficult to draw in a way you could tell what it was but I managed after just drawing what I saw and forgetting the rest. The next thing I'll do is probably something different from these simple lined sketches. Okay, I will use this kind of thing on the base but you get the idea, I think I'll do something bigger this time as I've got this challenge of drawing a troll for some guy on deviantART.

This is part one of my coffee mug study, the quick and somewhat simple sketch. I'm going to work on it later today after school and a bit of shopping.

Here's the finished version of my mug study. Watch it livestreamed in here. What should I do tomorrow, any suggestions? Later today I might upload my troll sketch in here (comments are welcome) if I just get it fixed as I want to do some changes at first.

I colour stuff. I really should scan some things from my sketchbook as I've done some traditionals. Half of my work of today left in school forever, though - I had like half an hour of time when we had a psychology exam so I doodled everything I saw in the class around me in the backside of the question sheet. Oh well, I don't need that, at least I had something to do and got something sketched.

Here you go! (It's a new sketch and study folder in my deviantART) More sketches and studies and what not. There wary so many of them that I didn't bother to upload them individually. Sorry about that, but I haven't had time to upload stuff exclusively in here lately. I'm trying to keep it up in future, though!
