ooo, that flapper girl is looking awesome. I've watched about 12 hours of prohibition documentaries this month lol, so it's right up my alley!
Your line work is looking tight.
Your rendered stuff seems a bit vague compared to your line work - Scott Robertson has some amazing dvd's on rendering if you can get a hold of them.
Today was a very good day study wise. Got me a Scott Robertson DVD "basic drawing" and worked on some perspectives to understand planes better. Also did a speed paint/envi study. Hopefully we're back on the daily studies wagon
50 is the goal but it's not a must...Most of the time you just do what you can (or feel like).
The character sketch feels too stiff and constrained so I abandoned it and added it to the gesture collection instead of fleshing it out.
I call this one "color vomit"...the value here is not in the speedpaint itself but the fact that it's one less color study from the 10,000 paintings I have to do to become good at environments. baby steps.....sigh....

Your sketchbook is so great at showing what someone can draw in 1 day, just the volume of entries is crazy. I had a quick look though and maybe you'd benefit from going a bit crazy with color studies and experimentation. Keep it up this sketchbooks awesome.
