Good for him. I like his art, but I don't care to read what marvel considers a story line. Maybe he'll take the opportunity to work on a good comic while he still has a following.

How dare he pursue his life's interests and not want to be a slave to a major corporation...

On the subject of Marko quitting Marvel...His life, his job, his decision. And, I`m pretty sure we all have enough shit going on in our own lives and do not need to worry about somebody else s problems...right?

Now, on the subject of the article itself...Back in my days of studying journalism, I had this professor who was something of an "old fox" (he was later accused for several corruption scandals - they could prove nothing.), and this one thing he said to us really got stuck in my brain. The three S rule - sex, sports, scandal. Those are best sellers in the world of media. If they`re all combined - even better! (Nice job,Tiger Woods...) Since this panel had nothing to do with sport or sex, scandal was the logical choice. It`s the law of the market. Don`t you just love it?

And, in the end, here`s an old Chinese saying (I`m very fond of) - If you believe in everything you read - STOP READING.

I always wondered why the 'Three S's' tend to work so well with the media. I've never been interested in any of those things, especially sports D:. I guess those things are too popular for me *hipsterface.*

Basic interests of a typical representative of human race - white, heterosexual male.
We can argue about this one, I`m sure...but that`s the way it is. It`s that simple. B/c we are that simple.

Djurdjevic used to work with Massive Black right? Anyway sounds like to him working on video games and movies is more fun so he should go do what he wants if he has the talent. His strengths were always covers and concept art.

Sounds like Marvel is pretty strict about what they allow to be published. If he wants creative freedom in comics though he can always publish through Image or Dark Horse. I'm sure those companies would love to have him. Then he could work with a writer he respects.

the 3 S's! News reports make much more sense now, I'm going to look out for that. But this is why I rarely read any news anymore. That report in particular was ridiculously unprofessional, making it sound perfectly fine for someone to walk into a panel late and then slagging off Marko for mentioning it out loud, which anyone would do.
