Studies are nice, but straight up copying images won't help you very much. Applying what you've learned and checking what you've drawn against the images in anatomy books will make you think more. What I'm suggesting is being braver and doing more whole figures from imagination (and check them up against the books). After you check back on the books, make notes next to your drawings on what you've done wrong and what you've done right.
Also, I find copying other images to be very tedious and mind-numbing. For me, my brain tends to shut down when I'm copying things. The anatomy books are for studying and chewing over in your head.

I agree with Fishysmell..
keep up with proportions and anatomy or however your schedule may look like, but also make up some time for translating all that information to your personal work.
one thing you could do alongside working from books, is bringing that knowledge to photo studies, or even better lifedrawing if you have the option for that.
I can totally relate to it being daunting to work from imagination at first. great gestures so far!

great lot of studies, thats for sure! nice work
would be nice seeing you spend more time on a figure drawing, render it out more, and some personal work maybe. also nice seeing you doing some animal studies too, gives a bit variation in here just watch the proportions!

Nice studies, it's coming along nicely! If I would dare to crit anything it would be to curve the eyes a bit more on the three quarter views, some of them look a bit flat right now - also watch out for the spacing between the eyes. Apart from that keep on rocking

Hey! The last batch of faces you put up here look hellaova lot more confident than the ones proceeding it Maybe when you're doing still lifes, you could draw items in relation to eachother more rather than just drawing them individually? You can do that just fine, so maybe get the full feel of it when drawing more than one item per scene, I know that takes some =P

CRYPT : sure bro
Baudolino : i'm happy you back ,thanks for your kind words

Draw fun stuff, draw fun stuff, draw fun stuff. Then figure out what's wrong with it and study that
Draw more from your "stupid brain" as you called it. It's more fun like that, and it gives you a specific reason to study. There has to be a reason to study, and it should be specific.
