Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
heres another DSG i felt was good enough to take all the way. You can find the original sketch at the DSG. All in all i spent 6 or 7 hours on it, and i must say i learned a lot during those hours. I hope you like it.
Here it is:
Actual pixels of the head.
Closeup of the arm, i learned alot about shiny stuff working on this one, and a bit about atmosphere.. i´m not sure if what i learned was correct, but i had fun learning it, whatever it was.
One of the different head designs i tried. This one is more or less true to the original sketch, but not as cool as a minigun.

hey bro, youre gettin better and better!
i dig this, probly the most polished piece ive seen from you
since im no painter by any means, i have no crits for ya, but i wanted to comment anyway
keep it up man!
I wont fail now
A successful union of two things I never would have thought could work together. You are touching on atmosphere a little in this one, as the highlights give me a sense of light fog in an interior space, like the inside of a ship or cave.
@Miau: Thanks Miau, i´ll keep going.
@Skank: This is the most polished color piece that i´ve done so far. Somehow i feel that i am not learning enough, when i hide behind broad brushstrokes and superheavy lights, so i´ll try to produce more polished work from now on. You keep it up too, bro.
@Joatley: Ah, one of the things you didn´t know about miniguns, is that you can add them to a composition to make everything cooler. Oldest trick in the book.
I´m still open for critique, so if you find something to crit, let me know.
I like it! Cool one OLSEN...
Only crit is more a suggestion...how about some shining dots/lines on the minigun...it's made off metal i guess, so this would bring out the material a little more...
thats great man. I admired the dsg entry as well.
I could see this being part of a much larger illustration. The idea of machinery fused with the aliens is not an original concept in itself (was touched on in a couple of the books), but the way you have developed the concept and the style of the creature is indeed original. I'd love to see it go further.
Heres another one.
Thanks cam and fozzy for the replys. I made the barell on the other one shinier, as Fozzy suggested.

dammit...they all look very atmospheric...post-apocalyptic...
Will this be a new series???
New series? Perhaps, but i haven´t planned it. It would be cool to make a few more and rezise and rework them for print. If i make any more of them, i´ll post them.
