I think that you have a strong potential to grow faster here. As I see, you improve in every single drawing you do. I was fascinated by the last post, these loose portraits has something to say in there mimics, angles they are facing the viewer. Characters are becoming very believable in there nature. Love your sketchbook, good luck!

im liking these quick studies but theres nothing better than a long study from LIFE to get you thinking more about form and value, so slow down abit and take your time, theres no need to rush,

o and im not sure if you are, but you dont have to rush your studies to get them up on CA. take your time weekly or even monthly posts are fine as long your drawing

Carlspringer: thanks, you sure are right about that, but i wouldn't really call those quickies studies cuz they're pretty much mindless doodling. But the word study can be argued over i guess. I better get on with some hardcore real life studies*.

anyway livestreaming for a few hours

very free linework, i really like how your digital sketches look
i don't know why but your digital coloured work looks a bit to saturated, perhaps try varying that and thinking of the temperature of the colours more.

    wonderful sketchbook start, post more!

NickyBeats: Thanks man . Im actually thinking of making that my second "project". In more detail: pick the best designs and make them more polished .
BlackDelphin: Glad you like my sketches . I will have that in mind when i do my next painting, thanks.

So i tried to do a more clean linework design this time. I didn't have any special things in mind besides that he should wear some kind of armor and have a whip attached to his arm.

Edit: added a girl too, with pretty much the same workflow but not as polished

Erik nice updates I enjoy your speed painting style. But everynow and then practice on how to make them refined, whatever that is.

cloudcan: Thank you, do you mean like it's hard to read them? anyway i'm really trying to improve pretty much everything so thanks for mentioning figures, haven't done a lot of them lately and yeah my rendering skills could sure use some work.

KONM: Thank you for stopping by

Alien Space Cloud: Thanks man . Yeah indeed let's just say i'm working on it ;D, i will do some more studies off photos whenever i get the time and that will hopefully help, talking about like 3-7 hour studies.

Girl design from imagination + some rough color to pretty much see how the values ended up looking ehm with color .
Critz on design would be useful or whatever you find is messed up.

Edit: added a smaller thumbnail due to a bit oversized pictures at the top.

nice job dude. looks liek you are getting it

try to slow down on your drawing and think a lot more. i can tell that right now you just draw and try to figure it out as you go. really all the guys who do very detailed and rendered work are painting with a lot more intention and concise choices.

Hi, Welcome to the forum! I'm liking your characters/concepts and colors!

I did an acrylic color study a few years back using that same Gemini image...I might dig it up and post it. I like the way your handling it!
