Scroll down for new stuff.
And for shits and giggles...one from just over 2 years ago. I thought this was the shit 2 years ago...*shudder*

Been awhile...had family in town for Mother's Day, etc.
Hopefully I'll be back into the swing of things in the next couple of days. Must...get better...for workshop...

hey, I like the centaur-thing on top. I actually posted a reply in your old thread before I saw this new one. I'm trying to go to austin, so just trying to check up on other attendees' work. I, like you, am thinking about trying to improve before I get there (if I do). keep drawing.

Wow, so it's been just over 3 months. So here we go again!
Life drawing shizzle (18x24, some graphite, some charcoal, some conte on midtone paper); some are better than others. Most are from the past 2-3 weeks.
Conceptual stuff from the past 2 weeks or so. Because of life drawing taking up 20 hours or so of my week, I don't get to sketch in the ole s'book as much. Seattle sketch nights are changing that though!
This page is older than the rest. I did this before I started taking a portrait drawing class:
So there ya have it. More to come on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.

Eh, what the hell; here's some 3d stuff I've been working on also.
Lighting comp/thumbnail. I'm not sticking with the camera angle:
Screengrab of the throne (Cats' tails are candles/torches):
Quickie throne render:
Lighting test, very much a WIP:
The fire from the candles will probably be added in with Photoshop simply to cut down on rendering time.

you are progressing gonzo...your figure studies especially are improving, just make sure to look out for proportions, your heads seem a little small and ballish. You portraits are looking good though. Also your scans seem a little light , maybe you should re-scan, kick up the contrast in photoshop, either that or make your drawings darker. Overall your improvement is good...especially from the stuff you did a long time ago lol ^_^. Keep posting!

Yeah, it´s really true, you are progressing gonzo. Do much more human anatomy studies and proportions.

Long time no update...
The portraits were on 20x22 midtone grey and conte. The pictures were taken outside which is why there's a blue ambience to them. The rest, um, just concepts/quickies of an Unreal mod for a production class. Vehicles and environments will follow.
Here's to hoping I can keep up this quarter! (16 hours a week of gen. ed. classes...shouldn't be a problem)

Hey, thanks for the replies guys!
Sok - Yeah, I've had a sketcbook on and off since March or so. I'm using a regular 8.5x11 sketchbook now so it should be easier to scan in.
Tag - Pff, I've seen some of your recent paintings and they are heads and shoulders above what I can do at the moment. I think I'm color-deficient!
Update coming soon!

So, I guess it's time for my bi-yearly update. Hopefully, I'll continue to have more finished stuff posted rather than the small thumbnails I've been doing for the past 3-4 months.
And some crappy thumbnail lovin':
