Keep an eye out for a British beardy bald dude, that'll probably be me. I'll be staying at the good hotel, which I believe is just around the corner from the venue.
Last time I went to the concept art meet in 2006 I didn't do any site seeing, but this year I have a coupla extra days for that. Does anyone recommend anything in particular that I really need to do or see while in San Fran?
Not loooong now exciting!!!

Fishermans warf, Ripley's believe it or not, china town, hashbury, north beach strip clubs (for figure drawing) White Walls gallery, The Shooting gallery and I'm sure you can get lost and find something awesome along the way.

Hey all! I just got into town yesterday and have tonight and tomorrow to burn before the workshop, plus two days after for additional sight seeing/hobnobbing. I'm also staying at The Good Hotel, so pm me or email me at sentinel13 AT gmail.com if you want to meet up!
I walked the 2+ miles to ROAM artisan burgers (which are awesome, btw) and I love the city so far. I can't wait for the workshop to start - see you guys around!

I'm sure we can do better then Starbucks. I'm just looking for a place with good amosphere for location/people sketching. I'll be staying at Ellis street. I'm up for walking to the Roastery, though. It's by Soma right.
I found this bar for that looks perfect for a drink and draw.

What's everyone doing for their portable easel? I have a french easel but I feel like it takes too long to setup and break down (and I think I look like an idiot while I'm doing it) to move between classes and I'm wondering if I should bring something smaller?
Just practiced montage style setting it up and down for an hour, IM READY

Woah sorry I forgot about the meet up thing. I don't really know many coffee places near Ellis, I guess it depends what your cross street is. I know of 5 Starbucks around there though hahaha.

Hey Raoul Duke and Jacob - Mr. Man and I are going to meet up this evening after he arrives. We're probably going to hit up a place for food and sketching, would you guys be interested in joining us? The invitation is open to anyone who wants to go, the more the merrier! We're probably going to just meet up in the lobby of The Good Hotel and strike out from there. I don't have an exact time yet but I'll let you know if you're interested.
