Hello. I think a sketchbook would be fun for drawing until I'm able to get some art education from somewhere. I hope that my sketchbook can go on for awhile and be a good one like Mindcandyman. Right now I do alot of mindless doodling and hope to end that. Hope you enjoy the gif.
here are sketches from gurney book I think I can learn alot just by drawing from him.
painting doodles(literally) massing abstract shapes in proper proportion= very difficult

Man I can't get the gif to work on my sketchbook icon.
i can see it in here though! haha that gave me a good chuckle..
the arts not bad, just keep studying. work on your foundations, some more work on values, anatomy, linework. but i see some look more worked out than others, so alot of the time it means your trying to rush things. im guilty of the same thing! more practice = better sketches! keep at it man!
I work fast food so I work alot. Sucks, but nothing last forever. Heres a update for my future good sketchbook.
Nickybeats- thanks for reply man. I definatley rush and I need to sit down and take my time. Its mainly cause I lose interest in what I'm drawing.
and a gif for ya
Heya, I would do some more pencil renders if I were you, you seem to have more control with it and worrying about digital and foundation stuff at the same timemight slow you down. Maybe do some renders of basic shapes so you can get a better idea of how light hits forms. have fun, seeyaa

haha that's some funny gifs xD
Hi there! I like your stuff. Very nice ideas in here, multi-organ people/creatures are always great. The only suggestion i can think of (quite brain dead) is to study perspective. I know that's exactly what i should be doing.
Your gifs are awesome!
Thanks for replies peeps.
I really haven't drawn at all since last time cause of work and I'm studying ACT right now.
But I found this site called artrenewal.org and you can view tons of master pictures and I am going to be able to do those alot now, its awesome and fun. I only have a few I tried they looked way worse after scanning.

LoL! I thought this picture was funny, this guy looks like a total jackass.
Hey mate, good start so far- specially with the pencils. I'd push yourself to make take that extra minute to double check where the features sit as some faces have eyes a little wonky.
Keep up the good work.
I think you tend to fall back to just copying what you see (especially with the shading). You will get faster and better results if you study the form underneath
Hey you! Yes, you! Crit me!
My CA.org Sketchbook 1 Last page Bashing much needed and appreciated!
My daily art blog (all the junk and personal crap that my CA sketchbook doesn't have)
Feel free to shoot me a pm anytime~
Hey man! Plunger? What, coffee plunger?
Please keep up with it, even if you're not updating, i hope you're still drawing! I would suggest starting from the most basic abstract shape and working around the whole thing as much as possible. I also believe more gestural drawing would help improve the expressiveness or 'emotion' of your characters.
Catch you bro, would be good to meet sometime and have a blaze
Thanks for replies guys you all made valid points and I'm workin on it. These are just random sketches I've done this last month whenever I've had free time.

Good stuff man! And this, i've been wanting to do stuff like it. I seriously never thought i'd find another person on ConceptArt.org who understands this. Well, who else but he who would have a toke?
