    Drawing timer app?

Other than the good ol' stopwatch o'course.

Tried a couple searches on google but couldn't reaaaally find one. I'm keen to know if there's one already or if I should just make a simple one in flash.

An app where you can punch in a range of different time slots and a brief description about what you should have accomplished by that time limit before it moves onto the next segment. For example setting up a sequence of timers like this for quick warmup sketches:

00:30 (seconds) - Rough linework done
    02:00 - Linework refined to a degree
    05:00 - Colours roughed in
    10:00 - colours refined.

^ A really crude example. But the times could be whatever you decide to make them and ditto with the 'completion descriptions' associated with them, completely editable. Then at each time threshold a beeper goes off for a bit and you move onto the next segment. If there's nothing like that available at the moment, I'd be keen to make one and upload it for everyone... Just seeing if someone's found one before or if they'd even consider using this when made. Thoughts? If I did make it, what other features would you like to be included?

...You're going to do the most complicated thing possible when an egg timer would do?

Of course it would. It's what I use at the moment. I just wanted to see the possibility of making something a little more... structured. It's not toooo difficult to make in flash, but was just curious of the demand, of which I guess there isn't one... So nevermind.

Yeeaaah, I would probably just throw my goals into wordpad, set the timer(s) accordingly, and have at it.
    My Sketchbook

And then God said, "Let us make man in our likeness and our image. Let us make him ridiculously hard to draw so that poor artists everywhere will have to spend 10,000+ hours failing repeatedly before they can begin to capture the form and likeness onto a two-dimensional surface." And there was man. And it was good. And artists everywhere lost their minds.

No worries. I just like making tiny flash widgets. Thought this might've been another avenue to try out, though guess not. Cheers.

I would prefer a little gadget I could run besides photoshop that tells me after... lets say 1,5hours to take a break and then sets up a 5 min countdown or so.

Try searching for circuit/interval training timers. I'm sure there is a customizable one out there somewhere. Like, you set 5 minute alarms to alternate with one minute down times, or whatever. I bet there's one where you can label each timer with 'pushups'. What I don't know is if there is one where you can set intervals of different time lengths -- 10, 1, 15, 2, 5, etc. I think generally people do intervals of equal time.

But it might give you a starting point and some ideas to improve upon.
