    MY Uncle dilemma

time to time I want to post my uncles paintings, he passed away in 80's, had quite an interesting past, made it in the history books in POLAND for his art.
I do have a few of his paintings, but somehow i think ,I'm more accomplished

here's my dilemma i want the artist here to critique but I want to keep my uncles image in my mind to stay the same

    what would you do
satisfy your feelings or keep your past

Did I understand this right, you want to post your dead uncle's art... so that we'd critique it... so that you'd know whether you're better than him? What?

Psychological stuff that doesn't have anything to do with art.

Ranger, the only artist who you have to beat in this world is you. You don't stop growing at "I'm better than my uncle/possiblefatherfigureofwitchihaveissueswith." Even if you go down in history as the greatest artist evar, you're still in the way of yourself from going further.
