    theSecond.........TAD art

    Hello guys,
My name is Ronald Stevens and I just started at TAD full-time this month.
Currently in 2d but thinking about switching to Illustration. Anyway, I'll start this thread with a few things I did before TAD.....then we'll go from there.

Very cool. You must be looking to just refine your work at TAD, because it's obvious you already have a ton of skill.

Looking nice man! how are you liking TAD so far? Talking with the guys who just started first semester here at the POD it seems like a lot has been restructured after they ran all us lab rats through the wringer. Gonna bookmark this badboy and keep up on your progress! Cheers.

p sage: Thanx for the vote....I'm hoping to get my "creative juices" flowing at TAD. While I'm not a true "beginner" I still feel I have far to go with my creativity and technique. Kinda skipped foundations in my latter studies. I am learning at TAD though everyday almost. That's good cuz school's not cheap!

    wasabi89: Thanx...and you got it!

Alex: Thanx man, so far so good....What semester are you in now? Prob 1st major cuz if memory serves me correctly you were in my Light and Form class last year when I took it part-time. You in 2d? Yea I love it.....especially the online thing. Didnt think I would but there's freedom in learning from home. As far as restructure, the new moodle thing is nice, having everything in one place. Heard their going for accreditation, which is fine as long as it doesnt change anything for us already in. I wish I could get more info on the major classes though. Maybe I'll get to a POD sooner or later. I'm gonna follow your blog.....

These are fantastic. I'm amazed that you're able to get so much done with your figure drawings in such a short amount of time.

Also, that portrait in the first post is great.

Well, semester 2 is about to start and i cant wait....they kept us really busy the 1st semester( i still have work to turn in..) but its better than the void ive felt this last month without the daily grind...
    @peterwhite- thanx man
@blueflies- thanx....it varies, the digital are faster(bout 4-6 hrs). the traditional took more like 8-10 hrs...im very new to trad.
@izene- thank you...ive been getting better with how to light stuff for form...we have a digital photography class at TAD that takes us through all that stuff. its fun
@zesiul- thanx man....actually need to do more i think....push digital aside for awile.
@suprore- yea....im very grateful to get the help into school at my age...guess its never too late though really....hope it pays off..lol....thanx
@bishop2004- appreciate ya.....its really repetition...we do about 40-50 drwings a week in figure 1....you have to stay loose and block in big shapes for time sake.
@tfsean- thanx dude...actually dont have any enviros yet...but im sure i will during composition 2 next term

Great sketchbook. I'm looking forward to seeing more from you.
It's really amazing to see how the students at TAD improve in such a short amount of time, I'm really interested in applying.
    Keep it up!
