    Searching for my ambition T.T

logistic puppet Nice to see you again : ) Little question. I know Loomis is awesome and
I try to learn a lot from him. But what's with all the other great artists? For example I find
the approach to construct the head from Bammes much more likely than Loomis'.
Thanks for always motivating me, you are great!

thedestroyer Thanks. It's good to hear, that you can see improvement. Because I don't :/
But that's always the case, right? People are to much self critique so see something like that
    Thanks for stopping by!

Hmm, my thread shouldn't be called "updated daily" only "drawing daily". I'm to lazy to scan
everything everyday...but as long as I draw, everything is fine I think

So here's the stuff from the last few days

    3.02.2012: I know manga-style is evil...but I use animexx.de to train my coloration skills.
So here is a coloration of mine with colored pencils (background is drawn by me,
outline of the character is from someone else)
    Attachment 1418130

4.02.2012: Hmm, has someone the same problems with pose maniacs.com like I'm?
If I want to do gesture drawings it doesn't load any images... the normal images I can see,
but not the in the time modus :/ So here is only one single gesture...90 secs
    Attachment 1418128

Some bammes studies. Left ones from memory, right ones from ref...
    Attachment 1418129

    6.02.2012: More bammes...
    Attachment 1418131

    Attachment 1418134

First approach to simulate water colors with photoshop and adding a little texture...
    Attachment 1418135

Thumbnails for a challenge back on animexx.de...
    Attachment 1418136

Watched Bobby Chiu's new videos and scribbled what he was drawing on paper...
    Attachment 1418145

7.02.2012: Started to read a new book "Complete Idiot's Guide to Drawing" xD
The next drawings are results therefrom...

    From life....

This exercise is really funny. You have to copy a complicated drawing which you mirror before.
The second one you have to draw upside-down. Try it! It's really interesting and trains the right
    side of your brain

I really like your studies, and your anatomy studies are really nice, I like that blocky way of simplifying shapes. I think you should try implementing that blocky style more into your own creations!

Crappy update in terms of looking back in a few years

Urötskidoji Thank you so much for stopping by. It's really nice to see someone I
subscribed looking through my sb I'm really happy that you like my studies, I
doing my best. But what exactly do you mean with blocky style? Can you pls post an
example? I'm not exactly sure. Thanks again :3

Soo, here is now a really bad update. Last week was gruesome, I couldn't get my mind
on drawing. But I thought I shouldn't hide by bad attempts, because so I can see
improvement by looking bad in a year or so

    8.02.2012: - finished the girl and drew a dog upside-down + mirrored

    Challenge accepted!

A friend of mine told me, that if you read and draw everything in Bridgemans
"Constructive Anatomy" three times, you have a really good understanding of
anatomy :3 I don't want to read one book repeatedly when there are so many
great books out there. Alone Bridgeman has a lot books with includes anatomy.
So my actual goal is to work through "CA" once and then finish the Loomis
and Bammes I started A lot to do!

13.02.2012: - So here are my attempts from yesterday. Each page is originally A5 format.

    It's getting better and better

    17.02.2012: Three and a half hours work on this one; one brush; 3 layers;
isn't finished yet - from photo reference. If I look back on all the faces I have done
since start of this sketchbook, I have to say, it's the first time I notice my own
    improvement : )

Fuck yeah, this is what i like to see! Sorry its been a while, in answer to your question from ages ago, there isnt one right or wrong way to approach learning, its best to try all ways out and see which work best for yourself. One thing i would say is the bridgman studies your doing are looking great, so i'd take your friends advice and do loads of them.
Your marks and technique are already looking much beter and your recent portrait is a huge set up, which is great to see. Keep pushing, i want to see moooore.

I really appreciate your constantly help and motivation *thumbs up*

Saturday night I got a little flash and started drawing/painting in many different mediums for 2 hours,
before meeting friends It's all from imagination haha. There was more stuff, but it isn't worth showing...

18.02.2012: - Water colors (has a different mood then the original sketch)
    Attachment 1426136

Copics & pencil 6B for sketch. Such soft pencils are awesome, have to use them more often
But I used the wrong paper for copics, so it wasn't possible to blend the colors together :/

Robert88 Thank you so much. I was a little bit to lazy this month, but I will start working hard again. Now!

Hi everyone, long time I didn't post here. At least for me. After to month daily drawing and studying I
decided to take a little break. But 3 weeks are too much But no time for self-pity, here are the few
things I have done this month. From now on, I will restart updating regularly
