    Hey guys,
I was just wondering what your thoughts where on how the 2D animation industry is doing in general.

If Spumco were still around, John K. of Ren & Stimpy fame would have hired you as long as drew and animated something funny. Personally, I think that hand-drawn animation is doing a bit better these days than let's say, the late '60s up to the late '80s. If you're really desperate, you can always team up with a couple of hand-drawing-type animators and make your own animated movie.

Your last suggestion reminds me of what Bakshi said about animation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WApcUBcVMos

So I've been a professional 2d animator for 11 years now. I started out doing commercials, drawing on paper with pencil, completely old school. Then I went on to work for Cartoon Network, for harvey birdman attorney at law, comedy central's drawn together movie, this most recent season of Ugly Americans, which was all flash. I've been working entirely in flash for clients since 2004. I can honestly tell you, I've made more money, and worked on more amazing shows and projects over the last 2 years than I can imagine...2d is alive and well my friend, and if thats what you want to do, then go for it. I love to draw, I love to tell stories, for me, 2d was a no brainer. You just have to ask yourself if you want enough.
    -start a revolution.

It's a good point. There will always be people around who like to make it. Why not band together and make a film? So there's always that.
Woah. I had never seen this. Awesome. Thank you so much for this.

Also Daniel your Animation Samurai website is a huge help. You should make more videos!
