    Icon Here to hopefully improve

Hello my name is Dino Stipicevic
And im here to improve myself at drawing , both digital and real , i have no formal practice or went to any school (even though i would have liked to ) so i hope i dont damage the ammount of quality that you see here on a daily basis

I wanted to come to this site sooner on the point that quite a few people suggested it to me to come here , get critiqued and improve .

In all honesty i would have probably came here alot sooner if i wasnt affraid that im still not good enough even for these forums where i know people are rather helpfull .
Which i know sounds rather silly .
But anyways im here now and hopefully ill improve with some help

So to start this thread off i think ill post these 2 pictures that i made of the Godfather and the warden from the prison camp in Bridge on the river Kwai

    Critique and advice welcome

    Welcome!

I've found Loomis' teachings really helpful in learning the structure of the head:

Ive recently started to go out and draw enviroments around my town heres some that i made recently , i make one pic a day of these , or i try to due to the fact that its hot as hell outside

The first one is of my town , its not finished though .
The second are cliffs around the halfisland st peter in our town.
I think each of these took maybe an hour or 2 tops

On environmental sketches with buildings, I'd highly recommend reading up on 1/2/3 point perspective drawing. Don't get bogged down in all the details, just keep the basics in mind when drawing, such as your horizon line and where your points of perspective are pointing so that everything in your drawing agrees with everything else (e.g. your water dock compared to your town).
