Very nice studies, especially the hands. Keep it up!
SMILEFACE xD thanks and no problem,I'll try to do some more stuff for you because you're awesome
pixel cheetah Thank you
Ok,so I've been trying some new things lately, like 3D and I'm also trying to get into digital painting.I'm using Mypaint in combination with gimp,I'D love to use photoshop but I just can't afford to buy it atm :/.But I like mypaint,of course it lacks some features that I'd like to use like laso tool, but that's what I use gimp for.
For 3D I use Sculptris,it's free and it's awesome xD.I'ts really easy to use so give it a try.
too much text,here are pictures
Alchemy + Mypaint
quick mypaint test
Good start! Keep going.
Sketchbook came soon: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=226335
Diarum's tutorials: TONS OF TUTOIRALS
Wow, you seem to get better with every post.
Look forward to seeing more!
I think your values and sketch stuff is coming along really nicely! Perhaps do some quick gestures to help you with proportions and flow more. Some look really stiff and the head to big. I also have a feeling that some don't have a knee, i don't know why. They just seem to pass by, like there is no cavity, no patella no joint there.
Environment studies are really nice! I love the last post!
The mountains with the snow blowing from on top of them have nice atmosphere and texture.I also like the first one.
Mind me asking, where did you get the reference? Thank you.
This is the first sketch book page i see, wish you many more to come!
Very nice indeed. The first pieces has a lovely European comic feel to them. Your poses come out a bit rigid sometimes. I wonder if you could apply the same sense of form and shape in your hand studies to full body studies as well. Emphasize expression and vitality before aesthetic idealism.
Landscapes are cool. Be sure to (ab)use hue and contrast to increase the sense of depth.
Keep it up!
How fortunate the man with none..
Sketchbook - Crits are painful, but love hurts. Pride is but a bitter vice and humility is a virtue.
post#6 page 5 that file shunty_21 or something that female in the bottom right is pure beauty LOVE your awesomeness in your images!
AdrianNagorski Thank you ,gotta do more portraits soon
2ma2 Thanks, yeah you are right, I definitely need to work on that, most of my characters are too stiff, like some dummies X(
BlackDelphin yh I'll be doing more gestures and anatomy stuff in a future, thank you for a nice and encouraging comment
Not much for this update, just some enviro speedpainting, value study and sketches for this weeks Chow
Nice work! You spotted a weakness in anatomy and tackled it hard core! The hands are lovely. I had to do that kinda stuff a lot in my college illustration program - so as someone self-taught, you're right on track with what professors have art majors doing! We also picked out images from the old masters, and tried to recreate the figures from them - like DaVinci's sketchbooks, Michelangelo or ANY TMNT artists work, really. Take incomplete master sketches/drawings, and try to finish them or even fantisfy them. Keep up the great work!!!
Some Advice: Keep working on your proportions and composition. Also, go more digital and away from the line work - try full color characters and fully shade more often, push yourself. Try to keep it simple except for what your focus is when doing characters.
You have come to the right place to improve on your artwork. You have some good stuff going on here already. But with the anatomy studies, try understanding the form instead of trying to get in the details first. Get the books by Preston Blair, and Michael Hampton. You'll learn hell-of-a-lot about draftsmanship
hey there! thanks for dropping by my sb.. wonderful sketch book i totally love your concept art and your anatomy study is also good will be following your sb
Vins_2011 Thank you,I really appriciate it!

Pat Thompson Thanks for all your advice Pat! I'll do more studies from old masters for sure and I'll work more on proportions and composition
