Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
Well I'm pretty new to this, started drawing like 6 months ago. Haven't drawn since I was a little kid. Some of these are stuff I've drawn from books, others are from looking at pictures, and a few are from my imagination. Still got a lot to learn and I need to start drawing more often. I don't have a scanner right now so I took pictures of them with my phone. There a little dark sorry next time I'll try and light it more.
Ok well Ive been trying to draw everyday now. Ive been reading MindCandyMan's thread and he has inspired me to draw more. Its hard with a family and a job but so far im drawing more then before. I actually stopped for a month but now Im drawing everyday. So now I just got to keep it up. Will be posting some pics in a couple of minutes!
some more practice stuff. as always comments welcome
for some reason my other post didnt go up so Ill try again. Some practice stuff.
Just don't give up and keep it coming!
So you started only a year ago and took a longer break within that time, too? You're making me jealous - The boat and the mailbox in the previous post are really good. I wish I could do this, but I'm totally lost when it comes to perspective.
I'd love to see more from you - especially where you will be in another year from now.
Steeljren - Thanks for the response. Im not that great with perspective so far i just eye it up. Ive been drawing the basic shapes first like you could see through them and that seems to help a lot. Im working my way through the famous art course right now which you can find online. Its a little old but so far seems to have a lot of good information. Im also using the bridgeman books. Hard stuff so far lol.
Kerah - Thanks for the complement!
Nice one again, especially the elephant. The fruit bowl looks a bit skewed to the side.
I'll have to pick up that famous drawing course again, too. They help a lot to just see what is there instead of thinking your way through a picture.
Here some more practice. And thanks again Steeljren for the feedback, I see what your saying wth the fruit bowl I kinda rushed it I need to stop doing that.
thanks for the reply evil_monkey Im using Drawing the Head and Hands book by Loomis. I do draw small sometimes. Ill work on that!
havent posted in a few days but i have been drawing. here is a few of my things from the past few days
I really like the look of the pig sketch and the gestural figures in post #3 For your loomis studies I would really suggest focusing on getting the proportions down by looking for how the forms correlate to eachother. Keep Going!
I didn't read the Loomis books, but the schematic heads are looking pretty cool. The skulls are a bit wonky in some places.
Maybe you can get yourself a little plastic skull (the ones they sell as keychaines, candleholders etc), it might help to understand the shape of some of the more awkward bones. I never figured out what cheekbones actually look like, before I got mine
ElricSlinger - thanks. I have trouble with the proportions a lot of times. I guess thats why I got to practice more lol.
Steeljren - thanks again. I'd actually like to get a skull maybe even a whole skeleton but right now I dont have the cash for anything. But as soon as I do i will get one for sure.
Missed a couple days of posting. Lots of normal family stuff you know. I still been drawing though so here is some of it
Some more practice too. From life and loomis
