    Derek Ng's Sketchbook--Beginning of a journey

So TAD started today and I'm extremely excited! I know that just going to school, by itself, is not going to make my art amazing and that practice, practice, practice is what will make the difference.

Here are a few pieces that I've done that will provide a reference point for my current skill level. Hopefully, in the next year or so, there will be lots and lots of improvement.

Sorry for the large amount of images. I'm just dumping them all here in one shot!

Here is a life drawing that I did today for a TAD figure drawing course. We were suppose to use whatever technique we were most comfortable with. Basically, the instructor wanted to see what our skill level was.

    This is done with charcoal.
