They don't have time for sketches but they have time for you to make a new cover over and over?

    Pretty silly!

How can there not be time for sketches but time to make multiple full-blown covers that aren't 'right'? That seems ridiculous to me!

On another note, I really want to watch my new dvd of the 25th anniversary concert of Les Miserables, but I want to watch it with my mum, but her soap operas are on for too long tonight and we won't have time lol. Hopefully there'll be time tomorrow, as I've wanted to watch it for a few weeks now haha. It may seem silly to be so eager to watch it, but I love musicals almost as much as I love illustration

I was thinking about upgrading my PC.
Ive heard that having a lot of RAM memory is important to run Photoshop (or similar software) with a reasonable speed. Currently my machine have problems when using some brushes in large sizes and when working in high resolutions.
Should i get more ram or a new graphic? both?

If you can afford both, get both.

Yeah, I heard whispers about that too..

But when you say 'new' I'm guessing you mean marketed towards Western
audiences? As There have been a steady stream of Godzilla movies in Japan
    for some time now.

I hated the one with Broderick in it. First movie I ever fell asleep in at the cinema
I was so damned bored! "Oh it only eats fish, shame. We smell like fish, otherwise
its harmless...oh no bad men killed its babies..."

BAH! Godzilla was an almost unstoppable force of destruction a symbol of the horror
of the nuclear bomb. Not a confused fish lover.

Granted he became a good guy in the later movies...

Painting a werewolf while listening to the Company of Wolves soundtrack.
It's midnight and there is a storm coming, wind is howling outside and battering the
    house.

It's good to be an artist sometimes. Being able to express your moods and feelings
into imagery is a real blessing.

Pixelslayer-Sorry to hear that. It sounds like a lack of professionalism on their end. Thumbnails and comp sketches are there to save the client time and money while giving them the option reject dozens of pieces in a day. All of the illos they commissioned could have been nipped at the bud as thumbnails and rough sketches and they could have had their big stupid finish by now. Who ever they are, I doubt they'll stay in business long.

man totally lost on me i guess, from a different time. Saw some original Godzilla but I honestly can't see why people hate American Godzilla or "Zilla" (Japan literally took the GOD out of it, in shame) so much.
Zilla died in two seconds in that one movie and had a Sum41 theme.
    LOLLLLLL

I never particularly liked Zilla that much, but I do question why people hate it so much today..
I mean I even LOVED this ...mind you... as a 6 year old

so i guess 6 yr. old me had bad taste. At 6 I didn't care or know who puff daddy exactly was. I only liked the guitar part
and I do love Zeppelin now...

Not saying one is better or worse, but I guess I just have a different perspective. Original Godzilla looks dumb to me... just waddling and stout, lumbering with always open eyes. I'm not even saying I like Zilla particularly more...
Imdb and rottentomatoes say 1998 Godzilla sucks nards too. so i guess i'll let them think for me. xD

Godzilla's last movie was in 2004. There have been rumors of a reboot for a while.

And before anyone jumps on that word, Godzilla's been rebooted at least three times now. You could count more if you consider how the last string of movies each started their continuity over each time, despite being part of a series. And no, the American movie doesn't count.

Oh thought there had been a Godzilla movie more recently than that.

I used to have an awesome knock off Godzilla toy. It was called Big Rex.
It walked and breathed smoke, it was pretty big too. One of my best
    christmas's ever.

Good question. I never thought about it enough. I remember an oily machine
smell (which I liked) that accompanied the effect. Some robot toys had it as well.
The fact that a lot of them available now on evilbay no longer produce smoke would make
me guess that there was a finite amount of oil inside that would smoke from
    a small amount of heat.

    But hell, i dunno.

Bringing our puppy home on Friday. Bought some
more toys for her yesterday, nylon bones, a rubber chicken
drumstick and a cow that goes moo.

But, she will no doubt decide my personal possessions
    are much better for teething.

    aww that is awesome!
    puppies are so cool
I wish I could have one, but here having pets is very expensive, I think you need to have a license or something like that...I'm not sure though.

    Abused intern rage!

Yeah, there used to be dog licenses here, but it got scrapped. Now you just
need to register cats and dogs.

The initial puppy weeks are the most costly! 3 rounds of shots, spaying
    and microchipping...

Well, brought Isis home. We did the intros, some drama at first, mainly
because Samson was just so excited. Isis has a great temperament though.
Now they're both asleep, Samson snoring away. Occasionally he walks up
to her, sniffs, whines, wags his tail and walks off. He's still confused but
for a first night, it's going great.

Well, thank god that movie gave us at least ONE nice thing, the cartoon:

They had all these awesome mutated animals http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_gV9wovzUIo...Zero_Manta.jpg (like a DEATH HUMMINGBIRD) and an undead cyborg-Godzilla and overall I remember it being an entertaining Monster of the Week cartoon. And then they stopped showing it in here and left it on a cliff-hanger.

Also I demand video footage of the puppies.

    ok random topic go.
I went to the East Coast of the US for 2 weeks, it was fun. I wish I could spend some more time/wasn't so rushed at the National Portrait Gallery (Kennedy's portrait I thought was awful. I might for fun make a more "polished" one of him and I made audible noises of excitement seeing Chuck Close's portrait of Bill Clinton), the National Gallery and the Metropolitan. I also wanted to see MoMA. We also went to Groton where my grandpa gave me a crash course in nuclear engineering on Subs.
Then we sorted out inheritance stuff since I'm 18 now. I found out my dead grandfather left an extremely large amount of money initially in a savings account for me. I don't want to withdraw it now (mostly because I want interest to keep accruing), but I don't know what to do with it and it's making me nervous. I could have a cushy way through art school after I get out of the service, but I could also use it for a nice wedding and a down payment on a house someday.
Also if you are ever in Rhode Island go to Marchettis. It's $8.50 for a 2lb bowl of seafood marinara.
PS: I also finally get Pollock after seeing his work in person and the Supersensorial installations were mindblowing.

Huh. Never cared to watch that when it played. But then again, I never saw Big Guy and Rusty, either. What does that say about a show when I can distinctly remember it existed, despite the fact that I never watched it?

But yeah, that Godzilla series is on instant Netflix.

I have more memory of the Hanna-Barbera series, instead...The one with Godzooky.

    Here's photos.

Isis on the ride home, she fell asleep on my wifes chest which gave
    her a comfy ride.

And the other one is Samson, he's like a pit-bull. Looking grouchy.
    He's an adult though.

Damn, I had no idea a ticket to a stand up act was gonna cost me $50.

Sorry, Jim Gaffigan, but that's not gonna happen. Doesn't matter how funny you are.
