Heya Scatch, nice to see you here again.

Think I'm close to final. About Orcs, I think they make among others WoW and LOTR the exiting experiences they are. And Chow is a very good place to try and design personal Orcs within the given boundaries of existing knowledge. That can be a great challenge.

Hey KafkaDreams, I think the toned down values on his muscles look better! One crit I can offer is the background is hard to distinguish from the main character, its looking flat overall. One quick solution to this would be to brush over everything in the background with a soft brush in white/near white and then drop the opacity of the layer down really low, around 5% or so. This will help add some subtle atmosphere/distance between the two, by simulating the effect of light passing through air.

Mr Gadbury - its a bit hard to tell without the hands being there if the arms on your front pose are supine or prone (i.e. palms out or in) but the deltoids look a bit off to me at the moment

Dan limatta - nice start! Hope you get time to finish!

    Hope this helps!

I was expecting to see a lot more extracted eyes.

You know, jewellery made of eyes, and things like that.

    I'll have a few - maybe

The problem for me with having jewlery out of eyes is that they won't last very long before they dry up or rot.

would be hard to preserve - instead I'll try to add some symbolism around it - tattoos and the like - also want a warrior king so can't have too much stuff hanging on to get in the way of the sword.

Trying to push my self to do some light and color studies. Having one heck of a time with this one. I am just so amazed how artists can grasp the complexities of diffused lighting and subsurface scattering and all the bounce light.

Sorry I can't finish yall. Jobs suck sometimes. Also they need to invent a mobile tablet that you can draw on. That way I could draw and upload pics on my breaks. Thanks to everybody who gave me a crit. Catch you next time.

Just a quick update - as I had to do the front and back ~

Decided to do it before I finished the rest so now I'll need to rush the painting (not done much on that since yesterday).

So So and didn't look to close at playing around with proportions which I should - just wanted something presentable that's close to the illustration.

Might add shadows/ground as its hard to read the feet :/

EDIT: Also the sword in the front image isn't straight - I'll fix that but not weird stuff like the ears - no time for now ~ (the human heads are also too large - should be smaller than his - so will be downsized for the sake of scale.

    Main ref.
