    Wasp Commando Sketchbook - Studies and such

    My name is Filis and I recently graduated from the Illustration & Design program in Dawson College, I would like to improve so I can create art I will enjoy and maybe you will too in the process.

    Most of the recent stuff are mostly photo and life studies, I'll try my best to post more imagination stuff later and more studies (of course).

    I'll try to update as often as I can too B:

    Blllaaaaahh had a lot to do at work @_@, some recent stuff from my sketchbook with some mini photo+imagination study... no time for photoshop or traditional painting :C

    Last few pages are from the live model session, 5min - 10min poses

    Was caught up with a lot of things and was an idiot for not posting A LOT of my studies/work up... here are some recent stuff I've done this month.

    First 5 are from life, the first one is a self portrait in black and white and the last few are from a bust. (1.5 - 2 hours each)

    2.5 hour poses from life :B

    and a few characters for fun, doing some zombie stereotypes.

    I really like your character pencils. It seems like in just a little bit of time, your gonna get to a really awesome and refined skill level. Also i feel like Im trying to get to your level with my character pencils. Very Impressive stuff!! btw, were can i purchase the anatomy bust? the one that wants to know if its pretty.

    @Mangix : Thanks!
    @Stephane Perez : Thanks! just remember you gotta work on your own stuff and study too.
    @ezekrialase : Thanks a lot dude, will try to update often!
    @TNiznet : Thanks!

    2.5 hour Long pose from tonight, really gotta buy a bigger canvas rather than the 9"x12" to take more advantage of the 3 hours.

    Great stuff man keep them coming. I love your angular style in the sketches they really give a great feel. And yeah if there's anything this site has taught me its that you wont get anywhere without putting in your own time every day. People tell me the program wont land me a job and i just say well duh its more like a 3 year booster to your drawing abilities then your on your own and its up to you to work hard to get better! Keep it up man i really dig your work.

    Thanks Stephane, I won't say its a 3 year booster. I was unfortunate to have been in a group where some students were lazy and flaunted on how they didn't draw aaall summer. That type of attitude can be depressing and really pull you down, so try to hang with folks who love to draw and want to improve. Hope you enjoy your years in Dawson!
