    o.o holy crapp. Nice work. I really want to declare how much I love your still life's and figures and character designs, but that's kind of everything, isn't it?
    But those ballerinas and that self-portrait.. @__@

    I don't know if you're still worried about it, but in attempt to be constructive here.. you mentioned in an older post that finding a balance between textured brushes and blending was giving you trouble. But as far as I can tell you're doing a beautiful job of it. That hand study is a near-perfect mix. Tighter and more realistic in some areas (like the knuckle) but looser with raw, texture-carved brushstrokes where it can be afforded (like the wrist), adding energy, texture and an artistic feel.

    My sketchbook - come critique me!

    Oh woah I actually have comments!

    @b-dawg omg I see what you mean now! I was so caught up in the details >< This is what happens with ex-anime artists, draw really long legs and unrealistic proportions without noticing xD

    @ErikR Thank you

    @killadroid Check your email dude!

    @Ven thanks, wow I have so much to catch up ;-;

    @JesseM Oh wow, thanks! and yes I was still worried about it - still struggling with it, actually. I'm so glad you told me! ^_^

    @GEB That "jealous" coming from you has to be sarcasm. :p

    @FootstepsBeckon Lol because I got mad at acrylics and then quit art for a few months. I will do more once I feel brave enough...... ><

    Not much today... I guess I'm slowly 'easing' into it. This is RE-L from Ergo Proxy (anime, get over it) I wanted to practice rendering w/o worrying about design. omg I know her feet/legs (among other things) are sooooo fucked up, I am taking ref soon...

    Edit: another quick study before bed... from photo... OMG I SUCK BALLS. T_T

    Yeah, anime makes that with people Long legs are popular in gamedev industry so that's ok but long pelvis are... it's like this

    but you're getting rid of this very well, go on!

    Love the colors on ballerina's legs. And I like your Re-L painting, it's good at proportions and especially I love the skin colors, they're so vibrant!

    Check out the original top hat man here, he looks so funny :p I could not capture it

    Jan 20 update: (did not want to bump with just one pic xD) another photo study (photo studies are soo relaxing/destressful, as opposed to fun/excitement of imaginative)

    Glad to see you posting again!
    I love the second character design and variation you did in post #165. Beautiful face and very cool outfit (I'm a sucker for feathered shoulder things).
    I was just about to say that the character in #185 reminded me of Re-l Mayer, nice work on giving her a more realistic look.
    Keep it up!

    Hi!

    I'm digging all the photo studies above. The last really caught my eye!

    I agree they can be more relaxing and stress-free as opposed to creating out of whole cloth. And another good thing about them...all that work tends to lodge in your subconscious mind (visual memory) and is helpful later when designing/rendering original work.

    Keep up the good work!

    Oh and b-dawg's torso attachment is sooo funny!!!

    Ciao fer now

    Big thanks to you for sharing the reference link
    You've got amazing feel of colors, I'm very jealous, seriously. You don't make them look dirty even if you use low saturated colors. Your recent studies are very strong, especially the last lady in violet gown. Also, great use of brushes on the background!
