Well if you have a boner as a life drawing model you need to keep that up for the rest of the session. Don't want their drawings to be inaccurate you know

What you dont show you dont sell, as a friend used to say.

Honestly, it could be worse if its really cold and it shrinks. Rather be known by the class as "Huge boner dude" or "tiny dong Joe"? thats no question.

The only life drawing models i have met have been superfat or old hairy hippies. I hate you all and you pretty people drawing sessions.

Never had a crush, but one of my old roommates DID date one of the life drawing models the department frequently used...

That was a weird meeting, because she knew there was something familiar about me and couldn't place it, meanwhile I just kept thinking to myself "I most likely saw you nude before he has, and I have drawings upstairs to prove it."

She turned out to be a nice person, so hey!

Oh man, I drew one of my ex-roommates once, who was also one of my best-friend's older sister.

I was looking for a place when I started university, and their family got me in touch with her. We lived together for about a year, and had a terrible time. We were completely incompatible in terms of lifestyle, and had a few pretty good fights by the time I moved out...I mean, we really, really disliked each other.

Imagine our mutual surprise when over a year later, I strode in (late) to a life-drawing session, and she was totally nude in the middle of the room. We both did a double-take, but I decided the mature route was to stay. We had a good talk afterward. I made sure to show my friend the drawings, though.

Might be a bit of an odd thing, but I notice this at uni and also way back at the Marama workshop when CA came to Wellington, after the models have been there for a while and you draw them etc, you might find a bunch of people standing around in the venue chatting and one having a coffee, and one of them will just so happen to be naked (or in a gown which's more the usual).

Nothing wrong with it, since we're only looking at models as an accumulation of shapes and surfaces anyway, but still interesting.

My cousin is trying to get into the modeling business and she's seriously perusing figure modeling as a possible interim means of income. It certainly might be a little awkward if I had to draw my cousin naked...

I've had people draw me instead of the model presented @ a workshop. Theyd get pretty nervous when theyd talk to me too. does that count?

^ Hey well for one thing that's good for the drawings because when ever I start drawing model's eyes they always start moving them around or close them, etc. Having them on a fixed location certainly is better.

A lifedrawing model had a crush on me once. i thought I was just being paranoid, that he wasn't really deliberately trying to catch my eye every time he changed poses, but as the session proceeded I became uncomfortably aware of the other students looking back and forth between me and the model, clearly wondering what there was between us.

I tried, I really did. But it's hard developing a crush on a bowl of fruit.

The pear was lovely though. That shape...that texture...mmmmmmm...pear.

I have something similar, This time, I had a well... hard-on during drawing, We were about 4 guys and about 6 girls and we were trading places [One would become the model and the 9 others would draw him/her] I was being drawn and well... had a little hard-on [And I was not nude, not fully, had boxers on; The reason was that the girls were 3/4 Nudes [They had panties on] when I drew them, and the hard-on magically continued afterwards]
But that's not really a crush, just an immense amount of sexual activity while being drawn.

lol, i didn't think this would turn into a semi serious thread. some really interesting stories here. closest thing to this that happened me was when two of my guy friends found out i was going to draw one of my female friends and then they asked if i could draw her nekid >_> unfortunately all the models i've drawn are old and fat lol. one had this huge lump of fat hanging from his crotch, with a penis that must have been 2 inches long but 2 inches wide D: ive only seen like two attractive female models. ive drawn plenty of cute girls clothed though, most are unaware, three of them i liked, but some even ask me to draw them.

Not a crush, but I found this model back in Oct 2007 very attractive and inspiring, the best model I had. She looked like she was in her mid to late 20s and did such superb poses. I would have loved to draw her more, never got her as a model again though.

Another model that I found attractive (probably early 20s) happened to go to the same subway platform after the class, and she came up to me. She wanted me to draw her again the next time she modeled, about 3 weeks after that day. Was too sick that day to go though.

If any of you are in NYC, places like GCA and Spring Studios have the best models.

We only had one female model during our semesters worth of figure drawing, it was her first time and of course the ladies man of the class had to hit on her. We never saw her again

I had a number of hot sorority girls model in my sculpture class, and some hot music students in my life drawing. The best by far however was when I took a class at SVA, there was a building across the street filled w/ dancers and they would walk on over and be models for the class. I've been fairly lucky although like everyone else I've had the 50+ models come in. And the infamous Boner Ray. either way I did have a crush on one who i had the pleasure of meeting at a party a few weeks later, and the stars aligned and the deed was done.

No. I was there for a purpose and never crossed that mental line.

Fortunately, most of the models my school employed were not my cup of tea.....farrrrr from it and some of them I could have sworn I had last seen in the bayou staring back at me...no...wait...that were catfish.

How about the government contract people who do all those "don't do this" safety posters and drawings...like never look down the secretary's blouse while you're running a forge hammer or a milling machine...stuff like that...?
