i highlighted them so they would be easy to see.

but they are actually brown so you cant see them

press CTRL + A and they should be viewable.

I just found them (cleverly disguised, black on black...)

Hovering over them, looks like one goes to "madcrack.org", one goes to "whatq.ru", and one goes to a suspicious looking "test" php page with a .ru domain... Looks pretty fishy. No way am I clicking any of those.

For those of you folk that clicked on the links, it might be a good idea to run some virus scans/spyware scans. Just to make sure you're safe.

Nah, I've reported several times there's a hole in earlier versions Vbull that can allow spyware to infect the forums. I keep being told nothing is there, but that's not the point. It's the fact something could get in :/

I suspect it's also breaking the scripts mods use as well.

I'm still learning php and all but it looks like something is inserting that javascript code at the bottom of the first page. It's probably not within the code for the front page itself, hence why it looks like nothing is there. The malicious file is somewhere on the server, the page gets requested and it tacks on the spam link which we all see when we access the page.

You can disable javascript but it will break some functionality of the site. That'll hold us over until they find the problem. CA is a big place and with all the stuff in development, no doubt they can't find it right away.

There's that, which is in comment tags around the javascript. Idk if someone added one of those invisible counters to the site but if they did, there's the problem.

I sent another message to Jason. It's pretty urgent it gets fixed.

I do not have back-end access to do it myself.

It is slightly worrying with the sale going on. I'm hoping to get some stuff at the end of the week and now I'm concerned as I'll actually have money in the bank.

Well, been trying hard to find some russian porn links on the front page all morning. Ctrling A and everything....but my efforts have been in vain. I think its all cleaned up now. Thanks for cleaning them up, whoever did.

If I've overlooked them, I guess I just fail at the internet/life.

Just did a quick check, the actual purchasing process is done off-site at CreateSpace.com which is a professional retailer with I presume what would be the latest security measures.

As such, any website hack at CA.org would have no effect on your bank account due to purchases being made through a third party.

Thought I'd straighten that out to put yourself and any others with a similar worry at ease.
