Thread: runde's sketchbook
July 17th, 2011 #1
Hello, there. I guess I got the jitters, but that's a good thing. I am Gene, just a graduate looking for a way to go forward into this crazy field. Here is some of my work. I would like to know what you think, whether good or bad. I want to work at it.

Sometimes I wonder if what I am doing is worth it. I don't know, but there must be somewhere I can go, and something to do.
Some speedystuff for all to see and laugh at.
Just a fast little portrait. It sucks, I know.
Both of these took 30 minutes a piece.

today in the futile effort of me...
The resurrection of a cruddy sketchbook is nigh. Maybe not as cruddy as last year.
I think squirrel archers with makeshift weapons isn't exactly a good idea if trying to make myself into the entertainment industry comes into mind today. Maybe in 1995 it's a viable idea but not today. But I thought to try it a step further.
Bugs with improvised weapons like ladybirds with sewing needles,
Fire ants with chomped off plastic utensil weapons.
bugs with magic.
insects wearing 5 dollar bills, and stuff like that.
I don't know if this is good design or if it's a good step towards becoming what I want to be. I guess they are neither.

Falling on hard times in Texas, but you don't want to hear that, you want to see art. So, here it is.
