I just cannot believe how much your pencil skills has improved,
that just proves how dedication and hard work can change
a persons progress. Mushy wetroom in the cloudy sky, your
emotions and creativity will soon start to fly. Setting the world
on fire is what you are doing, and I just want to see you keep
on working, cause I truly believe that the
best from you is just yet to come.
Thank you kindly LtPlissken struggling to keep pace tho but I'm trying....
Did you draw the perspective grid lines on this last one
before you started putting in details? For an amateur eye it will be ok and absolvable,
but if you deliver this to a more experienced person, I think that the perspective is wrong
on the buildings and you will not get away without the guiding lines, that is if you
want this to push to a more serious level. This creature in the foreground is ok,
but somehow he is unreasonably non symmetrical, I don’t really understand
the construction of his armor. Does he has a visor infront of his face, or is that
a big right panel bump on his right shoulder? My suggestion is that you should
plan a bit more of the construction of this creature. I also can notice him copy/
pasted two more times in the background, which gives a not so cool cloned
effect. I suppose this will be a very dynamic battle scene, with explosion and
similar, and I think that the hardest part is to implement that dynamicity, the
moment of action, moment before or after the big bang. It’s a great challenge,
but you are a very creative person so I guess you will successfully deal with
this task. Now as I keep observing the painting, I am starting to realize, that
those creatures are hanging in the factory on a production line, so it’s justified
for them to look the same copy/pasted. Looking at the soldiers on the ground,
they look pretty stiff, to get better at drawing dynamic poses, do more daily
dynamic figure drawings. Well, these are the things that came to my mind
at the first glance, hope my opinion will help you a bit in your further process
and progress. Sorry if I’m too harsh flowing with my crits,
I just want to help and together we
will improve even more, just as I said before, the sky will be the limit for us.
Till our next meeting, take care and draw/paint as much as you can.
Some ideas + quick value studies for commission + 2 point perspective just to see how the factory would have looked.... have a nice w wa wa week.....
Kick ass sketchbook dude. Inlike the design you staryed for the latest COW. Also that wave painting on page 21 is really good
BansheeSix Thanks MAN!!!

The portrait is looking gorgeous, you are improving as both in traditional and
digital. 11 days since your last update, I think that it’s time to kick the update
machine one more time before the new year arrive.
LtPlissken: Yes, i procrastinated and suffered from fear and doubt and almost gave up, but i'm back with a vengeance! Hope you had a good Christmas and Happy New year my friend.
World map done last year for game, cant seem to find the company's web site ,hope the project is still being made. . . . .
Don't you ever dare to think about giving up! Your character poses looks really solid already. When I'm trying to draw a standing figure from imagination it always looks like its falling. Your ones works pretty well with gravity. Its not a easy thing to learn. I like especially like you drawing legs, and foots.
When you drawing a portrait you may try to use a bit more simple forms, like cubes, triangles, etc. It gives you these awareness of the form (not quite sure how to write it in English ). There's these quote from Mentler sketches "I refuse to watch the details". It seems to be strange but being able to see only form without any details is actually very useful skill.
Thanks tsabu, yes also very handy advice, i have been thinking about forms more lately.
Worked a little more on that take-away-bag-landscape-thumbnail-thing. . . .
yesterday it was 42 °C today its 44 °C ,daaam its hot to do anything . . . .
relaxing Sunday nite mucking around doodles.. mechanical components. .. .
Good to see you back, appearing stronger than ever , just as you said
with a vengeance. Some of your thumb sketches are looking really top notch,
I think that you are heading in the right direction and if you decide to do miracles,
you will surely do miracles. Nice to feel some traditional spirit mixed in with portrait
and figure paintings, you already proved that you can do tremendous quality mileage
in under steel sharp roof wrecking conditions. I lost a bit of my artistic aim lately,
so it’s absolutely good to see your work as a motivational guide.
Keep on being creative and never stop
shaving the spiders hairy top covering carapace.
LtPlissken : trust me its also your posts that keep n motivate me its very easy to get demotivated and lose sight of where your trying to go since the goal is like a mirage on the horizon
many miles must be travelled first thru dry dessert, also i just saw what the good artists are doing, they are relentless and the competitive nature of this field really
made me pull me socks up a little, im still a bit lazy some times.. . . hang in there and thanks for visiting again!!!
