Hey man! I'm noticing small improvements in your work, especially in your Orc and Gold nugget man. the linework in your final images are a lot neater so it doesn't hurt the shape and silhouette of your drawings, plus all that rough lineark makes your images much busier than they shouldand your colours are starting to become more solid, your images still look very flat, work on those forms, values, and depth. remember the further away from the viewer objects get they seem less saturated and lighter than the foreground, and of course less detail. also try to avoid over doing the textures in your gold man the textures distrupt the forms and flatten the image considerably, remember to reference and study from life, read lots of books and eat your veggies

Art is not about competing against others and being better than everyone else, but it is about competing against yourself and discovering your greatest potential!

now that youve got your concept down, imagine the whoe thing in 3d and zoom around it in your mind, looking at it from different angles.
at the moment the angle is totally boring, but very good at showing all the ingredients. like a schematic. now you need to move the camera down to behind the guy on the horse as the god guy towers over him, or behind god guys shoulder so you can see the tiny horseman far below..etc etc.

    examples:
    Misiekhc

    min

    kinnas

    maciej kuciara

Thanks Velocity Kendall, i some times lose track of the thought that i have to visualize everything i do as 3d object or how it would actually look in real life rather, great visualization of my ingredients as well, time is really against me so most things i do i jump straight in on the first idea instead of roughing a few out first i guess thats also a downfall i have, i also noticed that that composition is quite weak at that angle. thanks for taking the time to post here.

been a long day gota go sleep, did a quick 15min three sketches, i usually do stuff on my sketchpads, that i draw in every day but i thought id start doing it as well in photoshop since its a little different.

See the reason i dont upload my daily sketchbook stuff is because
    1. the scanner scans to brightly i lose all my construction lines
    2. my cellphone camera is crappy
    3. dont want to give away my secret ideas

but i thought id make and exception today since after lurking thru quite a few sketchbooks i've noticed many of you crazy kids upload everything, and i wanted to sort of show that yeah i do sketch every day, its just photoshop that makes me look like im playing with crayons!!!

Just you and one last obstacle to get out of that hell hole sink hole.
lost everything to get to this point, one shot left.

need to stop using fotos so intensely, even tho i did manipulate a lot of it.

Time to call it a day an go to sleep again, this time i took more of what Velocity Kendall said and apply it to my Japanese mech driving chick. Even if i dont finish for tomorrow its okey i had a great time designing the initial concept and then visualizing it in 3d.

There's almost a total absence of studies in your sketchbook. If you're serious about this thing, better start putting out life-drawings, master studies, photostudies, anatomy, perspective - the foundations. Right now you're not able to carry out your vision because of the lack of understanding.

Keep drawing, but try to fit studying into your daily schedule. It'll do miracles in very short time if you commit to it.

Not a bad start, mate. I enjoy the environments and many of the concepts. I'd love to see more studies though. I have problems with figures myself, so I'm not trying to be facetious when I say you really need to do studies along side your imaginative works. Your concepts will have so much more strength behind them with that little extra understanding.

Anyways, good work so far, hope to see more soon. (and more studies? )

Hey there. THanks for stopping by my sketchbook. I'm really impressed by the amount of sketches you do. Great job. I feel you should spend more time for studies. It seriously helps. Cheers \m/.

Glad you started posting more studies. There's proportions issues (for example the head-torso relationship), but you'll overcome those by just drawing and observing more. Of course it doesn't hurt to reference Loomis and other figure drawing books to learn faster.

Here's an exerpt from Loomis' Figure Drawing For All It's Worth.

Ouch. I've never dared to show my stuff to the people I draw, so I think what you did was pretty ballsy actually.

Have you seen this excellent post by Dpaint about life drawing?
