Oh and progress on illustration. Trying to sort out how to make the face stand out without washing it out too much...

    Technical Errors

This is one of those moments when I realize how little I know, and what my art education has and lacks (has: free expression; lacks: technical instruction). I think I'm doing this right?

I feel in over my head, but I'm determined to figure this out...

Still tinkering. The building's perspective doesn't match the figures' (or the main figure should shrink) so I'll fix that tomorrow...

    how do speedpaint??

via some monster girl meme on tumblr, I've been attempting to whip up daily illustrations to practice composition, design, value range, story, etc... Um, it's not going very well. First one is flat, second one is dark and mucky and vague. Hopefully I'll get better with more practice..

EDIT: okay I edited the centaur one a little, I couldn't stand it.

I like that skull study, somehow your painting looks more like a real skull then the reference. Maybe it's the texture from your brush strokes as apposed to the plastic appearance of the ref'.

    tried tried again

Didn't know what a slime girl was, so went with jam instead.

an okay speedpaint... Anatomy / pose is a bit weird and it's fuzzy in some areas and super dark around the guy's face.

    hello !!!
Here i took one of your pieces to offer some feedback and info for you to play with in your future pieces.
The text is not well formed but i hope it helps you somehow

keep up the good work, everything is improving definitely that way.

i wanna mention that i like the composition and the potential of the piece is great.

(If you have no problem, i could post it also in my sketchbook for other mates to see and take some info from this one )
