There is some nice stuff in here, just brewing with potential. Varying themes but with a consistent style.
Doing some anatomy studies in-between personal stuff is how I learn most, and always trying to check for reference on how stuff works. Maybe try it out some.
Another suggestion I'd say is studying values and form, grayscale studies help in that regard for example.
Deffinately looking forward to more stuff, keep it up!

Thanks! Your comment confirms that my studying hands this week in anatomy sessions was probably a good idea. I appreciate the comment and suggestion, as hands are one of the areas I really think I can improve on.

    Cursed insomnia.

Anyway, I thought I'd post another work.

The Preacher and the Spider (from "Transmetropolitan") are all properties of DC.

Thank you so much. I'm a bit of a detail-o-holic. The influences on my style are rather strange, as it's a combination of the Japanese and Disney cartoons of my youth and the Underground cartoonists I came to respect during college. I took classes under Frank Stack, one of the first American underground cartoonists, and he broadened my horizons considerably.

And here's another little update. As you can see, I have a bit of a proclivity towards the female form.

I'm sure the nipples are a bit north but hey.

    Is that David Tennant?

I think you're totally right about the nipples.

That is, indeed, David Tennant and the gal in the hat is the one and only Tori Amos.

    HUUUUGE BREASTS! Haha.

Anyway, really liked the sketch in the last post with the ships and the dolphins. The perspective works really nicely.

Great style I am really enjoying your works. One critique however is to watch out for the way you draw breasts, you can have them big if you like but go study some women with big breasts and you'll see that gravity has to affect them and they should start lower down from the collar bone

I notice those tend to find their way into a lot of my drawings (the big breasts, not the dolphins).

    Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks for the critique. As arduous a task as it may be, I guess I'll have to go study more pictures of huge-breasted women. Seriously, though, I'll work on that.

Lookin sweet. You're making me want to get out my india ink.

The caustics on the dolphins are looking great. I think they may end too abruptly. Seems like they should extend more and wrap around the form.

    Great stuff!

    Hi Kdiegert,
Thanks for the input. I think you're right about the caustics. Those are some ornery looking dolphins, though, are they not?

Great gallery you have there, by the way.

Here's another little update. The first pic depicts "Mae Day" and "Moon Face", both characters of Larry King (http://earthmanprime.deviantart.com/). As for the second drawing, I think I mangled the character's legs but, ah, well...

The legs look fine on that one. I'm laughing at the underwear on the cats head. Great job with these.
