    Smile Critiques appreciated!

Last night I made the mistake of drawing from memory, which I now know never to do again. I used a reference for the head but not for the neck, and now I suppose I'm paying for it. I've painted and repainted and I just can't get the left side of the neck (our right) right. Please help?

    EDIT
Alright, I think I've finally got this neck business sorted out. At this point I would love critique on anything that can be improved on.
...Also, a friend told me this makes me seem kind of disturbed. I promise I'm not into mutilation and all that, I just wanted to try a creepy painting. I love horror paintings but I've never actually attempted one before this. Have at me!

Every critique helps me improve! Have a look at my sketchbook, it won't take long.

Three hours and no replies... does that mean it's beyond saving?

My problem with it is... I can't see it. ^^; I don't know if that's just me though.

EDIT: Nevermind. Sorry computer's acting up. I'm somewhat inexperienced but I do see one problem in particular. I believe the mouth is off center with the rest of the face. I've stared at it for a while but it feels like it's shifted left (ours) a bit too far. And the bottom lip the far side looks cut off making it feel like he's missing a lip.

By the way sorry for the edits. Technical difficulties.

Huh... that's weird. It shows up just fine on my computer. I changed the file just now, so maybe that was the problem.

Thanks Elwell! That's really helpful, definitely a lot easier. The neck has always just seemed like a big bundle of wires to me, it's confusing as heck.

As I said in a follow-up in that same thread,

Fixed up the anatomy, I think. Correct or still wonky?

Only thing I really see is that the left eye looks too low for the tilt of his head and the rest of his features. I think there might also be too strong a line between his jaw and his neck around the ear area - remember, they're not two separate parts; the skin between them is unbroken.

That is looking really sexy now with the latest update.

The head looks great and so do the butterflies, but one thing that botters me is the wonky perspective on the base. You spent so much work on the face that you forgot your perspective.

I did a paint over to show you what I mean. I dunno if the horizon line is correct though I was just loosely follows your perspective so you might want to double check that too.

Thanks a ton visoutre, that's something I definitely have a hard time with. I admit I completely guessed with this one... stupid thing to do. I'll go back and fix it right away.
