Great studies. You've leveled up nicely.
I'd suggest stepping up the scale on those perspective studies, as the field of view feels very narrow as it is now. Try doing some environments and add structures to them.

    Keep up the good work.

    Joho - ...ok... :|

Christoffer - I'll definitely do that , mate! Thanks for the comment!

Oh wow , page 5 !! Better start it with some good stuff!
So it's been a long time since I posted. Everything is pretty much the same though
I won't be able to post anything but digital stuff , because my sketchbook is too big for the scanner and my father took the camera with him ( He works as a ship mechanic and he travels a lot ) . You'll probably get bored anyway , I mean it's something like 30 pages of shits
    so here's some creature sketches

environment studies from screenshots and photos

Here I tried using only hard edged brushes , so I had to pick every color.I'll never finish this , but I learned a lot from it so I'm glad!

this is a quick sketch I did for my cover in Facebook

Ilya Repin study , that guy was Amazing! :X

girl photo study , trying to get my skin tones right

A painting I did for one of the theater groups in a festival for french loving people - done in one night

a painting for a physics talent contest ( I was mostly trying to get an easy A from my teacher ) -also done in one night

    here's some details too

Finally I downloaded Alchemy. That shit's fun! Ideas popped in my head so fast after only 4-5 secs of playing around on a blank canvas. So fun.
Here's the first sketch I did with it.

and the following photoshop work up. - probably about 1 hr

Here's some sketches from boring classes at school ( from the smaller sketchbook.I don't think I'm going to use the other one too much until the camera returns )

and some progress with the dragon thing. I put some basic colors on the main dragons and riders.I had to get rid of the knight in the foreground though.I'll try to think of something else to put there ... but what??...hmm...we'll see

Bleh , sorry for the one image update , but I wanted to drop some progress on the dragon piece.
I still can't think of what to put instead of the knight. It may be another knight , but I can't think of the pose . I guess I'll have to keep thinking.I have to fix the lighting on the dragons. It's amazingly wrong right now :X argh...so much things to fix

I like your pencil work, and I like the dragon (#123) where you kept the lines of your pencil. I would keep your lines because lines are your strongest point atm. Keep it up!

pixel cheetah - Thank you man ! Haha , it's weird , someone on cghub actually gave me exactly the opposite crit about the lines

just two pages from a bit ago to fill up space
On the first one , the two with a "K" on top are quick sketches from a Kotaki painting

Well of course, it all depends on what do you aiming for. For me your linework/pencil work is the strongest atm, so I would do my best to incorporate it into my final desing (for example the first dragon skecth in #124 looks great IMO simply because of the linework). Of course if you are aiming for different, perhaps more painterly look, why not, it is your choice.

sooooo sketches , studies 'n stuff ... ( some of the pencils are studies of other artists work , I'm sorry , I'm only trying to learn )

and some progress on the dragon...omg why is it going so sloooow I think I need to get smarter and understand more of the stuff around me. I think that's the way to get faster...right?

I told you it was coming soon

    some sketches mostly
brown paper stuff is so fun! I know it looks like shit , it's partly the scanner's fault
    Doesn't matter though... IT'S FUN!
all of these are from imagination , except for the first normal paper sketchbook page ( that one is with studies from awesome artists )

aaaaaaaaaand today's stuff.I didn't do anything yesterday , so today I was feeling super guilty Today was all about art though , so it's good

here's some pencils - sketches and studies mashed up together

I did some eye studies too ( from photos )

a photo study turned massively bad

a photo study I don't mind , but I was too lazy to finish

a digi sketch / portrait - can you believe THAT's supposed to be a woman?!?! Holy crap it doesn't even look human :X I need to work so much more but I'm slackiiiing

And another digi sketch from imagination. This one, although it's not really correct anatomicly , I still like it more than the previous one Either way...a lot more work is needed everywhere...

Nice sketches, but watch out for the face proportions, they are often off. Try to construct the underlying structure of the face, just like you did it with the body in post #140.

    Hi again,

Finally made it back. It's amazing to see all your work since Feb of this year!!

In not even one full year of posting you are showing big gains across the board...in your sketchbook/pencils, gestures, studies, digital work etc.

Your Ilya Repin study is very good!

Anyone who complains about doing a lot of "study"...just needs to visit here to see the pay-off.

Congrats and keep up the great work.

Jephyr X - thanks a lot for the compliments man! Although I don't think I deserve them just yet , it's nice to hear that you see any kind of progress ... awesome , thanks again buddy!

here's today's stuff ... I took yesterday off It was Sunday , which was a sunny day and I felt like rewatching Chuck , Friends , How I met you mother and Leverage The whole day ( and part of the night) I did just that and it felt great. No worries for a day. Oh , boy what a blast! But then again it's Monday and I'm back in school , which ofcourse is thrice the worries...since it's the end of the school year our weeks are JAMMED with exams and it fucking sucks because I already am in the summer break mood and studying french , biology , chemistry , history , math , bulgarian / french literature physics and all the other shits they make us learn is like the furthest thing on my mind right now...damn anywaaay here's some stuff from todays boring classes , bus rides and comfy chair at home

    usual hands from life

some sketchbook pages ( I'm starting to get a grain more comfortable with imagination stuff...I have so much more to do to get to the draw-whatever-you-want phase )

    still struggling with faces obviously

    quick animal sketches for fun

a terrible portrait attempt... my digital stuff sucks balls

During summer break I'm gonna get more into digital. Right now with school I don't have any time fore digital , more than 1-2 imagination stuff or studies a day...blah , I'm exhausted any whoo see ya next post
