    My room is unbearably hot. I'm in agony and you should pity me.
    Some Loomis studies and a random sketch that I might continue

    Some more Loomis and the lady from last time is finished (kinda).
    The anatomy stuff is kinda tiring especially in this heat but it has to be done.

    @Eric-Anthony
    Thanks! I actually never paid much attention to the whole rating system. Is it really all that relevant?

    @gedankenfrei
    The pleasure is mine :>

    More Loomis and a random environment. I've noticed that Loomis figures look a lot more graceful than mine. I'm thinking its because I draw legs too thick and I can't quite get the angles right.

    You have some truly beautiful work here.. your color sense is fantastic. I really enjoyed looking through your sketchbook.

    However, fairly often you'll have proportional problems (especially, it seems to me, with making faces too long). This really stands out because otherwise, your work is gorgeous and high-leveled. Get your drawings right! Your rendering is too good to be dragged down by proportion issues.
    I'd just suggest working traditionally for a while (get rid of that Photoshop reliance!) and spending a little longer on the drawing stage for your pictures, flipping horizontally until you're absolutely sure the proportions are good.
    edit: and I just noticed.. your most recent post is obviously a copy of Loomis, so they're careful copies, not gestures, but the figures still look really stiff. I don't actually see any gestures on this page.. maybe you just do gestures and don't post them (then that's okay), but otherwise, draw some gestures! Work to get a feeling of movement.

    Anyway, again, you've got some lovely pictures here. Keep at it!

    @JesseM

    Thanks so much!
    Anatomy is still something I struggle with immensely. Hopefully studying Loomis will help me improve a little.
    Btw when I'm painting I usually don't do any outlines so there really is no "drawing" to fix first.
    I'm also intimidated by drawing a whole figure without any references. I just fall back on using very basic poses so I can do the whole 8 head rule thingie.

    Here's some more Loomis and some random armored dude

    More Loomis and I revamped the lady from 2 days ago.
    I'm getting more comfortable with the mannequin now.
    I recreate the sketches rather than trying to copy them.

    Everything from imagination today.
    I'm getting better at constructing figures but faces.. I do those kind of intuitively and it can be very frustrating if you know something is off but you don't know what.
    Now that I've tackled figures a bit maybe I should to some head construction.

    Everything from today sucks. Loomis says constructing the head is easy but it isnt.
    I don't know what's still part of the sphere and whats supposed to be a plane.

    Well, making self-portraits using a mirror is always something you can do if you're having trouble drawing heads. I skimmed through your SB and saw you haven't done any. They've helped me tremendously. BTW your PS stuff rocks !
