    Neutral sketchbook

    Sketches, WIPs, Weekly challenges... mostly digital.

    Going to try and post something every day, starting with this quick enviro sketch, and by chance I might get better along the way.

    Until tomorrow.

    I'm looking forward to see more, because that quick sketch is very cool! I didn't even think it's just a sketch.
    Great start, keep it on

    Wow... thanks guys!

    On the other hand, even though the first image might've worked for you, in reality, I'm quite terrible at painting (as you will see in future posts, I'm sure).

    @Mussy
    Thanks. I've been painting on and off for several years now, but often taking long breaks in between... (some as long as 7-8 months). Now I need to make up that lost time somehow.

    @Valyavande
    Thank you! More is to come, though probably not as flashy as the first one.

    Haha, unfortunately my 'final stage' rendering skills are not that good, so I usually just leave it before I get too caught up in the details.

    @Gorgonzola

    Anyway, here are a couple of studies and an eow wip. I say studies, what I mean is, I force myself to think of what primary color something would be, RYB, and then just place it on the canvas.
    So, ocean is blue, sand is yellow, and foliage is green, and then just mix other primary colors with the selected one, depending on the type of light, transparency, material etc.

    It feels (and looks) very wonky at the moment, but I think I can fix that with painting from some reference.

    Been a bit sick, busy and lazy lately. However, got to finish a painting for my little sister. And last week's EOW.

    I really enjoy your brush usage. It gives a great sense of mood and atmosphere in your pieces. Keep up the nice work!

    @jhowell
    Thanks!

    Here's some chow beastmaster that went horribly off topic. Was supposed to be a hawk master.

    I've been pretty inconsistent lately due to a couple of minor surgeries affecting my focus a bit, but I think I'm back now. Here's some unfinished/sketchy stuff...
