    @wilkerson thanks, i do see what you mean and will bare this in mind in the future

    @lightship thanks! the louvre was phenomenal, the marie de' medici cycle were definitely my favorites, but there were hundreds of amazing paintings and i didnt even see the whole thing
    ill try to keep updating, just have been a bit busy recently
    for now some character design; definitely my weak point, was a challenge!

    Generally, the design looks pretty good, but there's something missing. It's only my small suggestion, but maybe it's lack of patterns on some of the material sheets?

    Hey lightship, thanks for the visit, the project isnt much, just a jungled themed piece, hopefully will have some updates soon if i continue with it!
    @Philipp Thanks, i'm trying to do a range of both short and long studys, have been doing some shorter ones recently to work on implied detail.
    updates!
    i've been a bit busy helping put together an exhibition my class and i are doing, but here are a few things i've been working on!
    first of all bloodsports 10, molly millions
    there isn't any chance of me finishing for the deadline because i've been busy, but i am planning on finishing it within the next week hopefully, so here is some of the work i've been doing for it;
    comp sketches

    another quick blade runner study

    some head sketches, probably going to go for the third or fourth

    some other stuff i've been working on;
    quick 30 minute lasso tool sketch

    some semi-abstract oil landscapes, sorry for bad photos

    have a few more traditional pieces to upload too!

    The last creature is lovely, I really like the...ehm...whatever it is that hangs off it's head, they are interesting to look at. Tentacles? Horns? Long ears? Anyways I like them!
    Also can I please ask one really boring question.. what kind of Photoshop brushes did you use for your landscapes and speedpaintings on page 1? I like the looseness of them and I need more of that myself.

    Hello fellas, i've havent been active the past few months because i've been traveling around asia! was an incredible and inspiring experience but im back now so it's back to painting! Here is something i've done since i've been back, but more updates coming soon. Thanks for the comments, Julie; I think those brushes were Sam Burley's which were in one of the DVDs with an imaginefx.

    Oh wow! Your sketchbook gives me a whole load of inspiration! I love what you’re doing! The mix between life paintings and digital is great.
    Your oil works are fantastic! The digital environmental drawings are so cool, I love that style! The portraits are also very good and realistic. I will be back for sure!

    This sketchbook ist going to be sooo awesome! So many environments full of mood, and great brushstrokes everywhere. I'm getting jelly I already know that I have to visit this sketchbook more often. So, keep posting!

    Gorgeous! These are great as studies and portfolio pieces! I like how you're starting to incorporate figures into your environments, it really helps add a sense of scale for the whole thing, which really drives the mood and concept. Your compositions are also very powerful. I'd really like to see you really go in now with smaller brushes and really detail the hell out of these things.
