    Mock the sheeple

Read this if you don't know what a sheeple is. Sheeple is a name used in substitute for the names he uses there, because sheeple have been "trained" to react angrily when presented with the word fagot.

    http://insomnia.ac/commentary/on_the..._of_art_games/

One of the points of the essay is that Sheeple think unimportant things are important and come up with nonsense explanations why that is the case. For example, take a museum which houses important things with value v0=100 at t0. Then at t1, place an unimportant object (V1=0) in the museum (such as a toilet, bed etc) The sheeple assume because t1 is greater than t0, the value of the valueless item is greater than the value of the items typically in the museum (V1=0>100). Then they come up with explanations why that is the case which are nonsense. See all of Contemporary art and theory.

Use this thread to mock the sheeple using image. Here's an example: sheeple believe Smurfs are a metaphor for communism. I don't think I need to explain why that is stupid and so I just drew Joseph Stalin Smurf.

Whenever there is a media event/Government psy-op, the sheeple are always ready to hail certain pictures as the next "Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima". Read the nonsense sheeple analysis here why Obama looking like a bum actually is good:

Political analyst Cheryl Contee said "Obama's willingness to be photographed without the typical Oval Office swagger gives birth to a new type of swagger."

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sit...om_(photograph)

You actually can't analyse these pictures because you don't know how much is staged (art is the craft of deception). Hillary Clinton might have the folder with the 'top secret codeword' written on it, an official looking eagle coffee cup, censored photo, and barack obama is alone 'against the wall' because it has been staged to convey her as the next leader. Or it could just been a snap with little thought put into taking it and releasing it.

you can do a quiz to see if you can distinguish "real" art from cheap imitations. When it comes to some forms of art, apparently even the art experts struggle a bit...

hey great find. one thing they value being indistinguishable from something they don't value won't stop the sheeple though. I'm also surprised art dealers don't try to sell the monkey art instead since they'd only have to pay them in peanuts (like indigenous people). Maybe its because monkeys throw shit everywhere and it would get on their art. Oh wait ...

Anyway female sheeple are often called feminists:

You would have to be to post diatribes against contemporary art on an art website.

Some of his points are perfectly well made, but he strikes me as a bit of a fanatic, so he tends to overstate his points, apparently genuinely believing that any child could paint Picasso's Guernica, or that there is no difference at all between Mozart and Salieri.

But his quizzes do not in fact support such a notion, though they certainly are interesting.

For that matter, considering the general definition of one of these deplorable "sheeple" as someone who accepts the mainstream line without question, how does a feminist qualify? Regardless of the lip service paid in modern culture, advertising lifestyle choices are still heavily rigged towards stay-at-home Mothers, with every other advert encouraging you to live off your looks or buy cheap food for the family.

You make the mistake of thinking that lobote's definition of "sheeple" has anything to do with actual definition of the word.

Yeah, cuz we've been using sheeple long before that crazy definition on the OP's post and it had nothing to do with the word "faggot"

This might give light to what OP's "sheeple" is:

Like if you taught a child that there are people you know, and 'strangers', and not to get in cars with 'strangers', you are indicating the important concept that strangers are more likely to be dangerous to children. If you banned the word 'strangers' children would be less safe. Ironically that's what sheeple would want to do. Ban the word strangers. And all categories that imply hierarchy.

As such, only sheeple object to the word sheeple.

You want to stand out? Educate yourself and stop worrying about what pre-processed meme you'll use to label others with.

Using the term "sheeple" to refer to a group of people and then separating yourself from that group essentially makes you no different, because you're following the crowd that's trying their hardest not to follow the crowd. The idea that people with certain opinions only think that way because they're following a group is not necessarily true for everyone who thinks that way. Maybe they have their own logical reason for thinking what you think is unimportant is important, and just because you think something is not important doesn't mean that's true.

A "sheeple" is someone who holds a different opinion than you. Sheeple are noted for being easily tricked by "junk science", which is a data based line of scientific reasoning that supports a conclusion that you don't like.

    Let's see...

One idiot defines a vast group of people they know nothing about using a gross generalization.

Another idiot creates a 'quiz' using art they don't understand vs. MSPaint.

    I need more entertaining trolls.
