    On the subject of Stragan

    your opinion on it?

in what cases should it be allowed
and in what cases should it never be allowed
Should we require he update his sketchbook with a piece of artwork for every post in the lounge?
Should we also require he add questionmarks to the headers of posts where he posts questions but omits the use of a questionmarks?

i feel awkward about the lack of posts in his sketchbook currently, which can be found here:

posting on conceptart.org =/= posting in the Lounge

He's 14, give the guy a break. My posts were worse when I was 14. I don't really get the whole "get out of the lounge and draw" reutine. That's not the way motivation works. It'll come when it's needed most.

whats the purpose of this post? to actually help me draw more or to just call me out when i didnt do anything with malicious intent? i am not the one pointing people out am i
if you dont like something i do the polite way would be to ask me to stop and idk what i did so..

i am gonna draw alot when i go back to school but for the moment my artistic desire just got burnt up due to having to deal with a hostile art teacher and some other stuff

When I was 14 "internets" were basically science fiction. Most people viewed the Compact Disc as some kind of dark magic..

I'm eternally grateful that camera phones didn't exist when I was in college though, that could have been bad.

When I was 14, I can remember when all the strings connecting all our cans got tangled up when we all tried to hear a speech by Eisenhower at the same time. Brought down the whole system...kewl...

When I was 14...I read books.

Internet was something we saw in Tron.

And you had to walk barefoot in the snow to get to the cans. Uphill, both ways. And it only cost a nickel.

I find the technology behind records so much more fascinating than the stuff they make now. And CD's have existed longer than I have.

At least it's not that one thread that started talking about the history surrounding the scientific validity and study of the female orgasm.

...Wait, that was a stragan thread, wasn't it?

I personally owe my artistic progression to not sitting uselessly on the web but drawing.
Because that's what I did, spent hours just reading through old Hulk comic archives, racking up the bill, preventing anyone using the phone and spending all of the printer fluid by printing fanfic stories. After that it was decided it's cheaper to not let me to the computer. So I drew.

Haha, that sounds a bit like what happened to me. I wasn't banned from using the computer by my parent. I felt so bad about using all the ink printing out drawings from my favorite comic artists one time that I didn't allow myself to print anything more then once half year or so. So, I had a small self ban on Internets. (We were poor. heh)

That is... until I found out I could use the printer at my schools library. Then it was all over. I had so much loose paper laying about with pictures from books and the internet.
