I like the 3rd one, mainly because it has more soft edges than the others.. makes for a better mix It also has more relationships going on than the others which are a bit too extreme imho. Keep it up man!
Wow, your stuff is fantastic! I especially love the way you draw bodies - the curves look so natural and appealing. Your shading's also lovely - the colours you pick are really nice and everything looks natural which I feel is such a hard thing to do so kudos to you for that! The only thing I've seen that looks off is in the first picture where she's standing on the skulls the skulls look a bit 2D for some reason. The shading's really good on them it just doesn't look like she's standing on them, I guess. But that could just be me - it's only a small thing.
Anyway, you're awesome! I'm officially a fan! Great work, I can't wait to see more.
Hello, sorry for taking so long to bring up new stuff, its been a busy week-weekend
Dile_ - Yes after looking now, with a couple days off it, I like the BG being less saturated with color, else the whole piece its kind of a color circus, but I dig the new values of brightness which helps separate
n1frit - You cannot possible get tired of apocalipse girls! ever.. until the apocalipse itself
theUNKNOWNsketcher - Thanks!!!
Comet - Yep, you are right, I was thinking about that, realistically if you had to stand on top of a pile of skulls (not something that happens everybday for sure) then either the skulls would fall on your weight or your feet prob would get "sunken" on the skulls, so I'm gonna try work with that, already fixed a bit on the next step im gonna post, check below
Jesus Food - Thanks sir !
Ian_ruff - Thanks!, well I do think there is a lot of fixing, more than fixing actually i'm wishing to gain the same fresness/confidence with digital that I have with my moleskines/pencils
Now with the images
Next step on the fixing of the BG here, I worked a lot of stuff but still a long way to go, on this 3rd step, the perspective for the castle, I did it a bit more flat because overall the girl wont be matching that point of view, anyway I added a bit of fog below but everything needs more work, but for today thats all I can get
This is on an early stage, I scanned the sketch then I thought I would do a bit of shadowing before starting with color this time, I have yet to decide what I'm gonna do on the arc, like behind the arc, either make it end in darkness or put more zombies...also, the axe.. is a bit weak, might change it for a sword or something that actually feels like a real weapon ..
Fallenangel - thanks a lot Alex, I'm hoping to get it finished soon aswell
Jephyr X - Yes, actually its not bad, but I was thinking in a way to change it to make it look like something more sharp or agressive, to make the whole zombie-viking look more like a threat, anyway I gotta add more shading/color and then see what happens
Now some more stuff, a bit more on the illustration side:
This is how the "Liz" piece is right now, so you can see it bigger, I'm missing highlights all around and adjusting the BG so it dosnt get flat again with the figure like it happened with the "Sacred" piece, also I like how the skull on the down part look more sketchy now, insted of "overrendered", I want to go after some freshness regarding digital aswell
and I think I fixed part of the floating-flat standing of the feet over the skulls effect, it looks more grounded now, but still needs more work there
