7 (+3) new 'RPG Creatures' concepts!

Here are some recent concepts/illustrations examples from the online bestiary RPG Creatures.

If you like creatures, and especially if you're into traditional role-playing games, you should take a look at the bestiary itself: RPG Creatures
All the creatures are presented with stats and detailed descriptions.

Opinions, crits, and causal comments are welcome!

    Very cool !

That first one… MYRACLION, is straight out of a nightmare. I feel like I have a high fever when I look at it. It horrifies me. Especially in that darkness with its head on fire, pointed protruding fangs and that tail lit like a fuse… its totally unnerving (In the best way). It’s such an awkward pose to see something in as well. It just ads to that unfamiliar, unpredictable and unsafe aura about it.

ELIJINN: This is the most disarming. It’s so elegant and beautiful, I imagine that I would be hypnotized by its movement up until the point it devours me. This piece has so much rhythm and detail. It floats so beautifully.

MINGOSSI: I can just hear those awful, little, scurrying feelers sifting and slimming about. The detailing on those “Thingies” is my favorite part. That stress and weight on its back coupled with that locked front leg really make this creature feel as though he is doing all he can do to keep his head up so those little feelers can do their thing.

I wish I had time to comment on them all. But overall, I really appreciate the attention to the details. Lighting/mood, volume, texture etc… as a viewer and creature fan I enjoyed these very much. BTW, I checked out that link you had above and there are a lot of sweet designs there as well.

I guess a single reply is better than no reply at all! : )

Thanks a lot 3_L7 (Masci) for your very positive feeback!

And here is the latest creature concept, for those of you who enjoyed the above. It goes into the RPG Creatures bestiary with the rest of its mates.

    Cheers!
    /N Cloister

If this were the stuff of nightmares I hope I get one tonight. Great work man!

*EDIT* Didn't notice you lived in Värmland! Lived and studied at Kyrkerud (outside Årjäng) last year. With a bit of luck I'm going to an illustrator program in Arvika this fall!

Ionize: Thanks man! I wish you a pleasant dark dream... An illustrator program in Arvika? Two-dimensional drawing/painting? Which school/program is that?

    Tom Fenton: Thanks!

    Two more...
