Great work with the poses! You should try experimenting with rendering out some of your line work, exploring volumes and such. Thanks for the comment on my sb by the way. Keep drawing and posting!

I did a drawing from observation from the pixelovely site, and some faces studies not focused on realism, but on the expression, just to have some fun.

Today I tried a pinup. It's pretty hard to draw that kind of faces and expressions they used to do in the old pinups.

You're making a lot of progress really quickly, good on you! (And hands are everybody's weakness. They're one of the hardest things to learn, you just gotta keep plugging away at it.)

It seems like the one thing you're consistently missing is a sense of construction - going through your studies, you're getting a decent handle on copying the shape, but missing the form. It's not just a matter of getting the shape and then adding shading; you've got to see the form in 3D to begin with. If you're doing the Loomis book in order, you'll get there soon. The mannequin frame and the stuff that comes after gives a good idea on how to build a figure in 3 dimensions.

Not bad you got the proportions right for the most part which is the hardest for most people. So keep at it and refine.

takashmen - Thank you for your crit! I've tried to give to it some style, even losing proportions, but I sure need to practice the standards, and the theory as well.

    Mitze - Thanks , i appreciate that!

The first one from imagination, and the second one from observation. Why the hell I keep doing huge heads?? just noticed this O_O

I wouldn't worry too much about proportions. Of course you absolutely need to get them right... eventually! What you're demonstrating though is a really interesting style and its quite original. I think the faces do need more work, with studies, but they are damn hard anyway. Just keep having fun and posting sketches cos it's looking good, especially your control of a pencil - lines and shading are really great!

Nice to see your progression. I think you're putting a bit too much effort into the detail and should focus more on the whole figure. Try loads of quick sketches from life, body forms, people's stances, animals and that sort of thing. It will help you to get the basic shape of an object.
I notice from your figures you do use reference lines like for the centre of the face. Try to use a lot more of this, more like drawing stickmen. This will help to get your figure into the right position so it looks correct, then once you've established that you can build ontop of it to fill out the figure.

Sorry, I don't mean to go on. Just don't be scared to start with the very basics and this will help build the foundations for all the detail.

Steveland and Porg - thank you for your comments!!

I want to draw random people from observing then, at some common places, but i got no time for this these days, so i'm letting this to anytime soon. I'm just giving my best to try to draw something every day : D
