Today i've got back my drawings from during this schoolyear.
The first one is done with watercolors. It is based on the Island of the death by A. böcklin. Second drawing is graphite on a4
I'll upload more soon
Man, your architectural drawings are just awesome. The watercolor painting in the last post is very nice as well. For your figures, one thing I feel like you have consistent trouble with is the width of the hips and length of the torsos. You tend to make the hips rather small proportionally when compared to the size of the torso, and you occasionally make the torsos a bit long and stretched out (or sometimes a little short but more often they're too long), so I would suggest that you pay specific attention to those measurements in proportion to each other when doing figure studies. Anyway, great sketchbook so far; keep up the good work!
Fantastic to see all the hard work you put into your anatomy sketches ... I keep saying I'm going to do some anatomy studies ... but I never seem to get around to doing anything about it. Keep up the awesome updates!
Dierat : Thanks for pointing this out. I always had the feeling something was wrong with my figure studies.
Now that I look back at them i can see what you're saying; the women's and men's hips are way too small and the distance between ribcage and the pelvis is too big, right? I never noticed this before, and i'll try to fix the problem (:
Also, thank you for the compliments!
shambok : thank you! I do my best to keep doing anatomy studies because I know i still have a long way to go.. thx for passing by!
