    Twitter 'n stuff

I've always thought I was pretty in touch with everything going on around me, but drawing with a 10 year younger friend via OC I've noticed that I'm actually completely the opposite: completely out of touch. Filling my 30th year this year I feel dangerously close to becoming a boring adult.

My grand plan for fighting old age: Twitter.

Post your twitter names and the feeds that you follow with a bit of info what they are about.

yea...Twitter...seemed like a good idea at that moment. I started reading/following people there. And after a couple of posts like "Got an exhibition here!" "Traveling there, so much fun!" "I LOVE my job!" "Best party EVAAAAR!!!1" I looked at my tiny apartment in which I spend my days, hidden from the rest of the world...and finally got the confirmation of leading a really boring, if any, life...
I don`t go there any more. *emo*

They should seriously put a warning stamp on that place. "Join ONLY if your self esteem can handle it!".

And now enjoy this picture of the super squirrel!

Oh noes! But I don't think so, we'd be hipsters if we used our twitter accounts to tweet about bands no one else listens to, movies no one understands because everyone except us are too dumb for them anyways, and if we posted about how artsy is that shit someone took on a plate and made an exhibition from it.

    This way, we're just lazy.

I only use Twitter for getting game, music, and art updates.

    My Sketchbook

And then God said, "Let us make man in our likeness and our image. Let us make him ridiculously hard to draw so that poor artists everywhere will have to spend 10,000+ hours failing repeatedly before they can begin to capture the form and likeness onto a two-dimensional surface." And there was man. And it was good. And artists everywhere lost their minds.

It's great for breaking news. Awful lot of self-promotion among many of the people I follow, though. It gets tiresome after a while.
I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).

I like to natter, get breaking stories, interesting links and sometimes post them myself. I moan, groan, crack silly jokes as replies. I hate not being followed back as I dislike a one way conversation. I don't follow that many people that I can't catch up yet.

Got a ghosting problem at the moment there, so my typing might be odd.

I don't tweet very much because it is a total bitch with a rotary phone.

    Way off topic, but -

    Rotary phones rock!
I have one like this ->
    Twitter 'n stuff
fully restaurated (sp?) and working like a clockwork! And it`s actually so good, people used to ask me "Why are you yelling?" when I talked to them over it. No phone line now, so I`m not using it ATM...

I don't see the point of using Twitter when I already use Facebook. I'll use it to follow celebrities/musicians and that's about it.

I have two Edwardian rotary phones (rewired and operational). We call them the Marplephones. When we walk past them, we are likely to grab the receiver and go, "oh, I say, Miss Marple -- do come quick! Something dreadful has happened at the Old Vicarage!"

Speaking of quirks...I have a refrigerator that makes this humming, soothing noise when it works. I pretend it`s singing. So sometimes I sing along with it.

I need to get out more.

Hahaha my friend has a refrigerator that squawks every now and then, I seriously thought she had a live bird trapped in there when I first heard it.

I also used to try and harmonise with the hoover! Surprisingly easy and fun! I think I may need to get out more too lol.

Oh yeah, staying on topic I had a twitter account and followed a few celebs, Neil Gaiman and Derren Brown and Nathan Fillion were the only ones that updated regularly with interesting and funny stuff. I got bored and deactivated it. I'm on FB though just to stay in touch with what's going on with other artists and how much weight my cousin has lost today :z

I'm avoiding twitter for the moment...probably because I don't really have anything to say... sounds depressing but it isn't really. Im sure there will eventually come time when I actually have a use for it. Most of the content posted on facebook and twitter seems to be, trivial. I suppose I'm contradicting myself since I'm posting in the lounge.

    @miranareveier

I only follow people I know through Twitter itself. If it's someone that is very prolific, or I don't know but enjoy their work, then I just put their Twitter feed through my rss aggregator. Then I can read feeds at my leisure, and all concise-like.
