A typo portrait I did for a past exhibition in my city.
That's really cool. The only thing I might suggest is to try making the red scar/tattoo/stripes/whatever by only making entire letters red, rather than having the red overlap just parts of letters. You know what I mean? Because it looks like you laid down a colored layer over the text, which works well everywhere else because it's more subtle.
Check each letter that is part red and part skin-colored and decide if the image needs red in that exact spot to work, and if so make the entire letter red; if not, make the entire letter skin-colored... I hope that makes sense.
Anyway, I think that might help. Looks sweet, though.
