    Question Halo 4?

Halo 4 was announced at the E3 today, right at the end of Microsoft's presentation. They did that with the new xbox from memory; announced it out of the end, completely out of the blue.

This trailer is well done, but you might notice the lack of Bungie's name on the credits, because they're not doing it apparently. I heard somewhere that they'll be supervising it a bit though, telling 343 Industries what they can and can't do. I personally think Bungie made Halo what it is, gave Halo 3 the great community that it had. Your opinions on it?

Milking the cash cow or not, IMO halo games usually arent bad.

ODST was a steaming pile of crap, but halo 1,2, and 3 were all pretty good. Halo aside though, the game i'm most amped for is probably Diablo 3. Too bad blizz doesn't do E3 anymore.

Looks shiny like its predecessors. I'll likely just watch the LPs when it comes out since I don't have the appropriate Microsoft gear for it.

Love the Halo games, liked the books even more. It is getting a bit milked ODST was kind of bad but the fire fight was fun, Liked that small kind of desertish place.

Any was its not really big news that Bungie is not making this, its been talked about for what the last 4 years that there run with it is over. I'm somewhat relieved, while they are a great company they seem somewhat feed up with making Halo, and have not really done anything interesting with Halo and it seems like, At least in my mind, that it is a game that could really branch out and provide a bit different game play, then the formula that it has stuck with.

Perhaps 343 Can provide a new take on the genera and make up some mileage for the previous titles stale-ness but I wouldn't really count on it, anyways Halo Is always fun and it is always exciting when Halo release time comes around, Of coarse I will pick this up and the trailer is very cool. I'm just always pretty disappointed in how the games can never really connect with the story thats told in the books which is sad.

    Wait a tick

Are you kidding I mean Bunjie did make great multi-player strides but its community is pretty bottom of the barrel stuff some of the most whiniest 10 year olds ever while it is fun to play on Xbox live its much of the reason know one ever wants to have a mic on live.

There IS a forum for games and such.

I was a huge fan of halo, but 3 killed it for me. It's the same game 3 times, nothing really new. the formula's a good one, but I can only play the game so many times.

new dev I'm guessing, let's see what they do different.

Personally I think the Halo franchise has had it's day. Halo:CE was great, 2 was alright too but then 3 just felt horribly generic and ODST was laughable. Reach brought a few new things to the table but lacked a certain finesse. I played the Halo games through my mid and late teens but then hit my twenties and got into Call of Duty and never really went back since.

I think Halo had it's world and story very much going for it to start with, it was new and fantastical and interesting but now the novelty has worn off and the story's started repeating it self. As a result it's left as yet another FPS and I don't feel that the game-play holds up to other titles.

After 3457648483 hours of playing, I've grown weary of Halo.

And there was man. And it was good. And artists everywhere lost their minds.

Quick prerendered clip of a game that doesn't come out til late 2012... Cheap way to generate excitement imo. Let me know when there's actual game play footage.

Don't mind a bit of Halo every now and then, but a 4th Halo has got to be the least remarkable thing at E3.

I mean, why are they still trying to pretend the lore is why we buy it? The trailer should have been someone getting headshot and teabagged or something.

I'd rather play another Halo than another CoD, to be honest.
