I don't always understand foreign lyrics (rammstein would be a good example)...but a good song...is a good song! Sure...if you want it'd be great to have some of it translated!
Sorry to hear you're still sick...hopefully the meds will get you back on track.
I agree with Chad's advice...especially about thumnails.
Ciao fer now and get well soon!

September 14th, 2011 #122Anyway, my illness topped yesterday when my fever was at 39.2 degrees celsius - I experienced great weakness coupled with an enormous headache and sang quite a few songs that were never composed.
You shouldn't suffer this way
I wanted to say
I hope I can take it away [no so tru the last part aha]

Sushy - WOW, thanks! That really brightened my day. How about a similar favor in exchange from me? YES, a drawing of YOU!
What do you say?
weed - Cool name bro. Thanks!
jeremygordon89 - Thanks, me and my pencils are happily married.
I'll do that, because I need to practice on my technical side too. I wish I could dedicate an equal amount to these studies daily, but I have this crappy job in my way - and I'm taking care of that. Think of it, I work 9-10 hours a day, and also usually waste about an hour and 20 minutes getting to work and back - so that's nearly 11 and a half hours wasted. The remainder of the day is sleep and drawing mostly, of course with some other things such as eating and shopping and who knows what else?
But I'm looking for something more comfortable, maybe a 5-6 hours of work per day that doesn't stress me out as much as my current job does.
I need more time to draw, I know that !
p sage - Chad
Yes, it's a funny sketch I did for myself while googling for a chef's custome... working on a painting for a paying customer-friend on a related theme.
Don't have a tablet, but I'll try some thumbnails for the jesters
Jephyr - I got much better, though a strange and violent cough still haunts my day.
Some of the lyrics (may look like I ran it through one them translators)-
"Let's play a kids' game
Somewhat big but still fool around
Let's play this game through the whole night
You'll be a kid and I'll love you
You'll want much and I'll give you little
You'll say enough, stop
I'll continue on
Let's play a kids' game
Let's catch a flight to Mars
Let's decorate imagination this night
A cosmonaut's suit is a little too modern
Another smile of excitment, you and me
Let's forget sorrow, dance, you should.
To dream more pink dreams
Of parties and kids
Like a disorganized mess
An undefined painting of Yair Garbuz"
Apparently this is Yair Garbuz's work -
OKAY, much better.
These sketches are for a friend's tattoo (why people like that stuff?)-

Yeah...but Chad if you eat enough pigeon...horse meat will seem like a delicacy.
ummm...not that I'd know or anything. hahaha
Thanks for the translation Kerah...I like the sentiments of that song!
Digging those dragons and new sketches! Not bad for a sick guy.
Hope that cough ends soon!

Creusa: I'm glad you're enjoying their fine beat
p sage: I find it hard to draw small, usually can't compress more than 4 figure studies on one page! How do I deal with this without feeling irritably uncomfortable inside? :/
Jephyr X: I wonder what a hard time you had to go through to taste pigeon meat, really.
Ariel9: I do other mediums as well, but pencils are my comfort zone. I'm slowly leaving it, but I don't yet feel I've mastered the pencils, do you know what I mean?
surus: Thanks! There is no other way for me to relax than to draw, so drawing isn't a question and hopefully I'll keep on posting.
I got better. I feel like I've had the luckiest week in a while. I can't contribute it to luck much but rather to my own efforts, but I want you to understand how extraordinary my achievements feel to me.
I talked to one bar owner in my small city and he said he'd be happy to show about 7-10 of my own works in his bar for about a month, and I'll be able to stick my contact details near my works so that any interested people will be able to contact me for work.
I have a week to hand him the said amount of works.
Also met a guy at a pastry shop who introduced me to an another guy who is showcasing artists' works in Jerusalem and sometimes sells some of them for profit from which the artist gets nearly all the money.
Also I'm working on a medium sized painting for a friend who is more than willing to pay me for the final work. So exciting, I feel like I've made big progress in monetizing my talent!
Oh, and I'm about to quit my lab job and find a more relaxing job with shorter hours and better pay. how about that?
Oh. I caught the rodent culprit, here's a pic-
So a few drawings-

Other than that portrait rocks!
Great to hear your work is going well.
Edit: ahhh that poor rodent ;___;
but I guess he was really nasty and annoying xD

That poor rat looks reaaaally sorry for what he's done... Welp, there's a new reference image
Good you're feeling better.
Thumbnailing: I need to improve my process here, too. I think what you do is use a large brush (if digital) or force yourself to just think more simply. Large shapes only. You can't abandon thought when doing them, though, or revert to doing stick figures (IMO anyway)... at least when I do that I end up balling up the pages and chucking them
September 17th, 2011 #133
Sushy: That rodent was annoying and eating my parrot's food.
Sorry, but you are, aren't you? But if you don't want me to call you that then I won't
Glad you liked the portrait, more to come with more time on hand!
p sage: Not sure if he had time to be sorry, his spine has changed shape in a matter of seconds - ouchie!
I'll try some thumbnailing with this next project I'm entitled to work on, and see how it works out.
Okay, finished a small commission for a couple of friends who requested a portrait -

Pretty damn good updates always! Glad to hear that you are getting some money from your art...it's pretty amazing...i never rlly thought about making any profit...just doing it for the "fun" i dunno maybe i shud concider something...
About that Intuos you asked about i'm gonna quote myself since i'm too lazy to write it again "Anyhow yeah i have had Intuos 3 A5 i think not sure what is the size..it's a5 ..anyhow...haven't used it that much but it has fallen at least 3 times like from rlly rlly high shelf to floor and it has completely survived maybe i have been lucky but it's unbelievably durable and the surface flap is cheap to replace anyhow so... i think the new Intuos 4 might have some new buttons like navigation circle and more pressure double amout of pressure points (2000 something) and that's about it i think ...otherwise Intuos 3 is just awesome..so if you can find that cheaply second hand or even new it's a bargain my friend and you shud definitely go for it"
But to be honest i haven't used the new tablet so i can't be 100 percent sure but the information that i have it shudn't be that much different from Intuos3

So I drank some wine and thanked everybody for their time and comments.
And some personal responses -
Creusa- No, but looks like so, eh?
p sage - Thanks. The guy was harder to draw and took me about an hour to finish him, and the girl took me about 10 mins. I've known her for a few years and he's a new face to me, is that to be taken into effect?
shambok - Hey np, I'm glad you like my works
Ztak- That's my main aim, to get money for what I love doing. Anyway, hopefully I'll update tomorrow with my new tablet because I'm getting it tomorrow. A good deal too!
Jephyr X- Thanks. It's one of the first times I'm glad I nailed the people correctly.
matty_mcmullen- Not as hard as I should, but yeah, I've been sweating. Thanks, I can promise to keep drawing consistently till I die.
So my friend called me this Sunday and asked me if I'd want to walk 40 kilometers, very spontaneous. I agreed. It was fun, spontaneous, a true challenge on a quite short alert (an hour at most). And then I dated this cool chick yesterday, aww, times are indeed a changing.
Too much personal life inserted, let's get on with the crappy doodles I decided to scan:

Good ol' Uncle Loomis. I've been away from him for too long. Let's you and me swing by his house for an odd visit, some stale candy, and maybe he'll let us play with his toy trains
Nah... Kerah, let's just follow his books for a while. D00d is smart

The Loomis heads look greeat...and as for the challenge I'm on! It might take me a bit...but I need the study!

n1frit: just for you, a digital piece
p sage: will do, this weekend is a great time for just that! Prepare to be Loomised!
Jephyr X: Take your time, but I'll be happy to see some of your Loomis studies done
rokushoxxx: Thanks! My heart... feels warm.
So this is my new tablet:
I was testing the brushes and the tablet's capabilities to work with me for about 3 or so hours:
