PD Howler is a fast digital painting and animation program made by an artist for professionals alike. What's New in PD Howler?

In this version of Project Dogwaffle, there are a number of improvements including changes that radically improve memory throughput in a number of cases. Floating point operations now use SSE2 registers. Add to that optimizations for better cache usage whenever possible, plus some new algorithms for a number of functions, and the results are filters that are often fast enough to operate in real-time, not just over a small preview version of your image, but on the whole image.

Lighting Tool: images are interpreted as elevation maps and come to life in 3D

I noticed your site mentions and improved GUI. One thing I found confusing with dogwaffle (previous versions I've tried) were the brush controls. Have these been revamped to be more intuitive as well?
