You have a lot of really nice pencil work, and your values and colors are great. Nice job on those.

I have noticed that you're tending to make legs... especially women's legs... a bit too stocky or short.

    http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6188/...20de146b_b.jpg

It's not that you shouldn't draw short or stocky legs sometimes; it's just that these don't seem to relate to the rest of the proportions. They would go ok on a stockier frame, but look out of place on the thinner framed women. Make sense?

Anywho... the pencils you do are very strong, and I'm hoping for more in your next update

I really like the way you render. Your color work is very nice. The pencils are great, too. The legs on your women are a bit too thick, though.
    Keep it up!

Teundeboer: thanks! characters are so much fun

BlightedArt: haha, that part was really nice to paint, thanks a lot!

Reika: Thanks a lot Reika, yeah, now I see the weird legs, thanks for pointing it out, your sketchbook is awesome!

soooo, people, I was sick, so the update is full of things I painted while my head exploded, lots of unfinished stuff.
sooooooooo, I'm better now, gonna work harder than ever!

Maybe this helps you guys with your studies:
the desert/rocks photo study is 60% referenced, I find it very helpful to try to complete the photograph, creating a bigger canvas and trying to create your own parts of the environment.

Hey man, some pretty cool stuff in here. Only thing I would say is try and vary your influences a bit. Daniels style is kind of shining through (I am speaking from experience btw), so just try and keep an eye on that. Cool stuff nontheless!

    Keep rocking it.D

nice dragons! nice girl! nice studies! you're on fire... just like the latest piece was just about to ask you if you've been checking out DanielC's work before I read Mischeviouslittleelf's comment.

    keep it up!

*edit* went through your sb, tons of studies! you have very nice variation between soft and hard edges.. I especially like the hands in this one

and some of the other girlstudies a bit back. Could you please share a bit of your technique?

DefiledVisions: thanks a lot! yeah, daniel C is awesome (:
sure I can share my "technique" ahha, basically is just using a soft brush for rendering stuff and using smart sharpen on focus areas. but its very important to know where to use it, it's very easy to kind of get crazy with it.

Ludic: thanks a lot man! (:

kidult: thanks! hands are hard for me, so I study them quite a bit .-.

    hey people

some stuff I did yesterday and today, been trying to work on my style and sketchbook pages, scanning them later, see ya!

Hi, Very good studies....and your observational work (ie: the statue and the nude above) are pretty tasty as well.

Something to work on: Your original work sometimes looses proportion and form that your figure studies have. I find that very difficult myself!

Btw...your pencil work is quite nice...you have a really nice touch there!!

    Keep 'em coming!

Awesome pencilsketches! The renders are wonderful aswell, that lighting!
That nude woman study is great, gotten the skin to realism. Don't have any critique at the moment, just that about the legs which sage noted already. But you've taken care of that with studies!

    Keep it up!

I digging your awesome skins tones studies. When it comes to the eyes they, I feel they look a bit flat almost like decals.
