    Color and composition books?

I thought there was a forum dedicated to books but I couldn't find it so sorry in advance if this isn't in the right place. Anyway, I was wondering if any knows of a really good go-to guide for color and composition. I don't have a lot of money and so I need a really well rounded book that I will want to hang on to. Any suggestions?

As for books there is no one book; I recommend
Color and Light by James Gurney
    Composition by Arthur Wesley Dow
    Drawing Scenery by Jack Hamm

I second those recommendations - and they aren't very expensive books so that's a plus.

    What would Caravaggio do?

Thirded, and I'll throw in my usual recommendation of Molly Bang's Picture This for composition (also cheap).
Loomis' Creative Illustration covers both composition and color (as well as everything else). Track down a wild PDF until the long-promised reprint finally comes.

The best book on colour I've ever read (and most books that deal with these topics are worse than useless) is Adrian Stokes's 'Colour and Form'.
It's a short book, no pictures and out of print. But if you can get a copy from the library you are in for the read of your life.
